On Monday we took the road to Hana, visited a lava tub and went to the Waianapanapa State Park for the black sand beach. The road itself was fine. We had one like it growing up that we called snake hill road.... it was just a lot longer. It was raining, so there was lots of mud and because we wanted to spend most of the time at the black sands beach we didn't stop to see a lot of the things that you have along the way. They have so many waterfalls just from the road! I think that they said that there were something like 48 waterfalls in just a couple hours of driving.
