This was one of the funnest things that we did. In Segovia, this is one of the most well preserved Roman Aqueducts. If we had know just how neat it was, we would have spent a whole day here instead of a half. We started at the bottom left of the aqueduct, followed it across the plaza and up the hill. Then we looped around some of the streets until we found this fat satyr taking a selfie on the sidewalk. Ada took most of the pictures here. She was in hoggy doggy heaven. It was fun to watch her pose the kids and I'd give warnings when big groups were getting close to her shots. We had some really yummy lunch here too. Lots of meat. No we did not eat a roasted baby pig. I just couldn't bring myself to do that with the head and skin still attached. We also found a really old tavern. Jer was joking that it was the beginning of our D&D adventure. "You meet in a tavern."
Seth began the trip with having a really hard time smiling for our family pictures. He always had a funny face. I eventually told them that we could do one of two things.... one he could smile for a nice picture and then do a funny one after or two he could not be in the pictures. He chose the first option and after a couple of days he stopped asking for funny pictures and just smiled.
This was a university on the hill in a very tiny town on the way from Madrid to Segovia.
