This was on the same day in Carvoeiro, but there were so many pictures that I split them up. We had wanted to go see the caves in the cliffs here during low tide. They called and cancelled because the waves were too choppy and the wind had picked up. We were sad, but they offered a late excursion to see the cliffs and beaches even though the caves were mostly covered at high tide. It was a 2 hour boat ride and was fun. It was pretty. Some of the caves were where the movie The Count of Monte Cristo was filmed.
Seth in particular loved the boat ride. It was fast and it would fly off the waves and bounce pretty well. It was so fun. We were all giggling.
After our long day, Seth even fell asleep on the way back to the bay.

The guide kept pointing out beaches and saying that during the summer that they're all packed. He even pointed out a couple that are nude beaches when the weather is warm enough. My kids were all glad that they didn't have to see that.
The guy at the front kept teasing Seth. He called the seagulls chihuahuas. So for the rest of our trip we kept asking the kids if they could see the flying chihuahuas.
We tried calamari at the beach restaurant. They were pretty good. The calamari I'd had before was a lot more chew than this one was.
The yellow building there was our hotel.
