New Neice

These beautiful people surprised us all with the news that they'd been chosen to adopt this beautiful new baby girl.  We're so happy for them.  They are good parents and it will be amazing adding to their family.  We thought Jeremy had walking pnuemonia, so we stayed away even though they were just down the street for about a week. Turns out that he was coughing as a side effect to the medication they gave him to get rid of his warts.  We'll meet her when we won't get her sick.

Exciting progress

This sweet family is pretty much official.  The court ruled that the kids parents were unfit and that McKay and Sophie will be allowed to officially adopted the kids that they've raised on and off for the last 9 years (full time for the last year).  All that they're missing is the last court date to sign papers.  It's been a hard last year, but they're pulling through and they're doing marvelously.  They have been so good for those kids, you can see them bloom. They are also taking steps for the missionaries to teach them and arrange for their baptism.  I'm so excited as they continue to grow and progress.  Sophie has also acted as the mom/big sister to her sister's oldest daughter since she was born.  I'm glad that she can rely on Sophie and McKay.

Saturday two weeks ago

Two weeks ago, we were invited to attend Jer's cousin's sealing in the temple.  Liz and Dave adopted their second baby and what a special day it was!  When they put baby Spencer at the alter with his parents, he smiled as big as he could and held on to his mom's thumb the whole time.  It was amazing, and I loved catching up with all the extended family afterwards. Thanks for including us!

They got a baby!

My good friend from the good old days has been trying to adopt for quite some time and they got their new baby about 5 weeks ago.  He's so cute! Little dimple and all. I know they'll be amazing parents, and if you they don't feel like they're doing so great it's because they're so tired from being pure awesomeness...  Today I got to meet him at their baby shower.  So sweet!

Shout out for adoption needs!

There are several friends of mine that are trying to adopt.  Jer's cousin was finally able to adopt after about 12 years of fertility treatments and adoption waiting... But if anyone know of anyone that's looking for good parents there are two that I'd like to share.

This one is a friend of mine from High School... They moved in next door and Elizabeth was automatically my friend.  They've been married for almost 10 years and doing anything to try to have a baby... they've been trying to adopt for about 2 years and want to try for one more before they give up.  Please!  If anyone knows anybody... I love these guys and they'd make wonderful, fun and loving parents!  Here's a link to their profile... https://www.itsaboutlove.org/ial/profiles/10748760/ourMessage.jsf

The other couple is one in our ward... They're so sweet and I've never seen a couple so ready to have kids! She's from Germany and he's one of the actors from the movie "The Home Teachers" (He's the skinny home teacher).  They got married older, but she hasn't been able to carry a baby full term because she has Celiac Sprue.  She takes care of herself so she never gets sick over it, but it makes it so that her body can't carry a baby... Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
