Looking through pictures, I found this one from Jer's phone. It was Evelyn and the other girls her age at the Christmas party. I thought this was hilarious. All the girls are princesses... And Evelyn's a witch.

Halloween
Pumpkin carving. We put this off until the night before Halloween this time. Life has been rolling right along and we haven't been able to catch up.
Our kids are starting to get to the independent stage... they have their own neighborhood friends that they could go out with... just not quite. We went with Keith, Laurel and her sister. Sam was Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Ada was Elsa (who I accidentally sprayed in the face with the hairspray... so she cried and her eye make up ran... Her eyes looked more like Betty Boop eyes than Elsa.), and Evelyn was Anna. It was fun to have everyone go the same speed this time.
Part way around the block Seis and Leilei asked if they could come with us... so for a while I had 8 trick or treaters. That was a new experience for me. Their mom came and picked them up and we met up with the Bronley's for a while. I like Trick or Treating because I get to see all my mom friends and walk around together.

Ada's birthday party
Ada wanted a Frozen themed birthday party. It was simple and fun... Jer had Scout camp, so I cleaned the house and decorated... hoping that he'd make it for the actual party. He got there part way through. I was glad he made it. The kids played "Freeze" tag and "Do you want to build a snowman".
My "girlie" 7 year old princess... not afraid of worms.

Ada's Halloween costume
Finally got Ada's Elsa costume done. Yay! It's a little big in the top and a little small in the bottom, but she's thrilled with it.

Saturday
Saturday was busy, I got to take Ada to my cousin Whitney's bridal shower. Ada dressed up as a princess and told me she loves showers.
Then we high tailed it out to her best friend's baptism. They were so cute. I love seeing their support for each other.

Cinderella
I'm about a week behind on my blog. I'm determined catch up. Last Monday, we went to Roger's and Hamerstein's Cinderella at the Scera with my mom and Janelle. Ada and Evelyn LOVED it! Sam... he liked the Impossible song but then decided that he was bored and life was over... luckily it was the outdoor theater so he could lay down and roll in the grass, so it wasn't a total loss for him.
Ada wanted to meet the Fairy Godmother after, so dad took her up to... I took Sam to run on the hill.

Birthdays galore!
It's been such a busy week! A busier weekend and the busiest to come. We finished up our swim lessons, celebrated my Sammy boy's 5th birthday, and I'll just have to tell you all about Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday was the kids first T-Ball game.. Jer and I absolutely loved it... The kids had fun too. I loved watching all the kids on the field run to the ball instead of just the shortstop or the right fielder. I loved watching two or three of the kids just plop down in the dirt and start playing. And one of the girls on the team just decided to take off her shoes and socks... just cause.
After that, we rushed home to get the house ready for a birthday party. Even though we prepared for the better part of Friday and Saturday, we weren't ready. My rescuers got here and saved the day. My mom, Sharon and Janelle all helped finish up decorating, scooping ice cream and cake, and with clean up. They are amazing! I have to apologize to Seth though... he made a bean bag toss game for us and we completely forgot to set it up until we were putting stuff away after. Sorry Seth!
We had about 17 or so kids here because it was a combined party for both Sam and Evelyn... and even though it was busy, I prefer just cleaning one party rather than worry about two separate ones... Sam wanted a game board party and Evelyn wanted a My Little Pony party. So we compromised. Jer made a giant Candy Land Game on our front driveway, and we got a Pinkie Pie piñata. The kids both had a blast... AND we were surprised by Jer's grandparents that had driven up from Arizona for a week or two. They got here early and dropped in at our party. So fun to see them! Grandpa liked the cake so much that he had two pieces (he also liked our cat quite a bit) and Grandma kept saying how fun the Candy Land game was.
Sunday, I gave a talk in Sacrament meeting. I hate talking... I don't mind lessons, they're interactive... talks, I just feel like I'm preaching and I don't really know which direction to go. I also did a lesson in Primary like always, but this week for some reason the kids were having a wiggly one. After church, I played a bunch of Sam's new games with the kids... they really like Who shook Hook and they're in the kitchen playing Operation right now and are having a blast. Jer had several meetings and after a quick nap we headed down to his parents to have a big family dinner with his Grandparents. It was so fun to see everyone again. Have one more big family dinner before Becca's family disappears to the east coast, one more family dinner before Diane has her baby, and see Alan and Rachelle's family again... it's been a while.
I was trying to tell Evelyn that she was named after her Great-Grandma Jane Evelyn... she didn't believe me. She kept saying, "No! I Evelyn, that's Grandma!"
And on the way down to the dinner, Evelyn said, "Now I 3, Joshy is bigger too... Now he going to marry me. I'm the Princess and he's the Prince."

I swear Tigress is more Seth's than mine.

Tea Party
Our sweet neighbor hosts a princess/prince party every year when her grandkids come to visit. She invites us as well because we are good friends. The problem is that we though Evelyn had the chicken pox this year. Luckily or not so luckily, it ended up being an allergic reaction to either the antibiotics that she was on or the cashews that she ate at my parents house. It wasn't like the hives that either my older kids ever broke out it... and they lasted for five days, but they did go away and that was great. Since we missed their party, we had our own tea party with my sister Sharon. It was so fun to see how much fun the kids had playing pretend while they ate lunch at the same time. Cuties.

Ada
I'll have to post the rest of our weekend when I get by the computer, hour until then... We went to Aladdin the musical in the city park. It was fun. We ate dinner on the grass and just enjoyed the show.

Princess Tea Party
Wow... I'm sad and glad that the last few weeks are done. There was just SO MUCH! But we did have a ton of fun with Marg and her kids, Mary's whole family, Becca's family, John's family, Grandma and Granpa.... and now we get to hang out with Amy and her kids, Emily M and her kids, and Jay. It's kind of fun living at the hub of all family activity. We did lots of things while they were here over the 4th of July, but one of them was our "T" day.... we made it our Tuesday Tea Party for the girls and Tuesday Train Day for the boys. Jer threatened to come dressed to the tea party as Thomas the Train. Yep, yep. Even the big girls had fun. I helped Evelyn not break her dishes, Kate dressed up as Princess Leia since she's officially a Disney princess, right? And Ruth discovered that Grandma's dress ups still fit her... if only just. Ada LOVED it and asked for a tea party for her birthday.

This is such a fun family. They're sweet and playful. It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain! It was...
