Fun things

My friend, Beth, and I did a makerspace activity at the library.  It was fun to do somethings hands on.

We got to go swimming and Nellie's pool with my parents, Viv and Thea and Nellie.  That was fun, even if it was a little chilly in the middle of a heat wave.  Then we had a picnic at Nellie's house while the kids took turns telling Alexa to play different music.

Seth had a few free meals that he earned at school that expire in a month, so I took him on a lunch date.  This cute mug is always a good date.

Ada, Mom and I finished painting their library and got to go on a bike ride this week.  That was fun.  I didn't thing to take a picture of the finished painting, but I'll try to remember to do that.

Our watercolor teacher posted this picture... I thought I'd share.

Sam didn't have a music stand for pep band in the commons the other day.  Ada took a picture of him and said that it sounded like she was walking into a movie as she walked down the hall.  Sam pointed out his music on his lap later.  I love it all.

 

Misc

Ada and I are taking a watercolor class together.  We got first place in the speed color matching contest.  It was fun.  I said I didn't care if we weren't fast because I didn't need a king sized candybar... Ada said, "I'm pretty competitive."  Nough said.

Heather, my daycare employee from last year, invited us to come to her son's birthday party.  It was so cute.  They had hired a magician/comedian that did a spectacular job and they also 3D printed magic hats to serve pudding in.

Ada's working hard with her FBLA club.  They're getting ready for State competitions.  I'm proud of all the hard work and progress that she's making in things that she loves.

Jeremy had June 19th off. Ada and I had planned to paint the roses at Thanksgiving Point Gardens... so I took Ada and Jer took the others to the Discovery Museum. It was such a nice morning.  I had to leave at lunch time to see my endocrinologist about my empty sella syndrome..... Then we got the kids ready for Trek the next day.

We had Uncle Seth over to paint mini figures.  It was so fun. I haven't done it for a while.  I bought a flail snail to paint.
