We all looked Christmasy so we took a picture. Jer and Seth were both wearing green and red ties, but it was so fun until it was time to take the actual picture.

Wilcox Christmas family party
The kids wanted to do the Christmas Nativity again this year. Jordan was the director and assigned all the parts. Ada was the narrator, Sam missed it because he ran home for a minute, Evelyn was the angel, Seth was a wiseman... It was fun. Slightly irreverent, but adorable none the less.
My mom did two games for the kids. They had fun and enjoyed trading their winnings around after.
Evelyn won a hug from Grandma
The cheering section
Seth "won" a paper that said to get wrapped. He wasn't so thrilled, but he was adorable.
Uncle Seth found magnetic fidget rings. I don't think Uncle Seth always will have to buy presents for the kids, but they sure love it while it lasts. My Sethie even wrote an essay at school about how his favorite Christmas tradition at home was Uncle Seth's presents.
My Dad introduced us to a new song using my Grandma Wilcox's poems as the lyrics. It was fun.
Evelyn introduced Thea and Viv to acrobatics.
Seth and Evelyn loved doing this crossword puzzle.
Acrobats
making a heart
Football talk
Snuggling Aunt Sophie.
Our family also performed the song "Cows" by Sandra Boynton for the talent show. That was fun.
Birthday boy
My wonderful Jeremy celebrated a birthday this week too. We were both working, so we had hot cocoa, torte, pizza, nerds, worked on his train layout and watched a movie. He's such a good man that I'm grateful for every day. He's really good at playing with the kids and it's fun to watch as they grow older.
I felt bad. I wanted to do something fun for Jer and bought some different fancy hot cocoa mixes to try. Only one of four got to our house in time... so Jer made a homemade one (which he prefers anyways). Then while I was making the torte and cleaning the kitchen from daycare snack time, my two babies decided that they had enough. The one didn't want to be in the play pen and tried to bite the other one. When I told him no, the other baby started crying because I said the word no. Jer took over the torte with Ada and I took the babies into the other room to play.
The other day, I went to grab a pen out of Jer's office. The kids saw that Jer had been working on his trains and wanted me to show them. I don't want to touch his stuff and break anything, so I asked Jer and right before naps he let them all come in and watch the trains for a few minutes. It was very cute.
Misc Christmas
Seth gave his first ever talk in Sacrament meeting. He was very against it, did it anyways and passed with flying colors. He spoke confidently and smiled at Evelyn and I the whole time. In the same meeting, Ada, Sam and Evelyn sang with the youth. Jeremy, Ada, Sam and I sang with the ward choir. It was a fun Christmas program.
Ada hosted a Christmas party at our house. It was mostly so that her friend Martha could do some American Christmas things. It's fun. Ada even made homemade gingerbread to make gingerbread houses. It was yummy.
Seth made a candy house at school.
Seth competed in the whole school spelling bee. He got 9th place! How cool is that! The funny part is that the word that he got out on was Khaki. Seth spelled it with a C instead of a K. When he got home and we were talking about it, Sam, my 16 year old that's taking AP Language tried spelling it. He also missed it and spelled it with a y instead of an i. It's not exactly a word that commonly used now.
Our new family tradition is doing an at home Messiah Sing in. We invite whoever wants to sing and we have so much fun.
The cats are so excited about the Christmas tree being back.
Christmas Pioneer Village
My friend, Beth, is really good about doing things with her kids out in the community. She always asks if we want to go. When everything lines up, it's a good time. One that we've done several timesis the Christmas Pioneer Village. This year it was a little warmer. My favorite two things are the blacksmith and the square dancing.
