I made my family ignore all their responsibilities and stand in an hour long line in order to see a house that the owners had set up as a Harry Potter anniversary celebration. The owner was saying that he was going to replace his lawn in the spring, so why not? He had everything from a Buckbeak, train station, Ollivanders, Hagrid's hut, Gryffindor tower, etc... We had the pleasure of talking to Snape and McGonagall. The couple right in front of us provided us with ibuprofen and a fun game of Harry Potter Head's up while waiting in line. He was like Sam's allergy twin. He had basically all the same allergies that Sam does and that's rare. I think he's the first one that I've met with almost identical allergies.

Witchfest
This year's theme was Hocus Pocus. It was fun. My dad wasn't feeling 100% so mom had to miss it, but we went shopping and dressed up. And most importantly.... ate candied apples and chocolate.

Ren Faire
On the way home from Bryce Canyon, we drove over to Mona and met up with Ada and Uncle Seth to wander the Ren Faire for a few hours. It was fun. There are a lot more vendors than there used to be. We caught the end of a joust and the fire dancers. It was pretty chilly by the end. We also ran into three of our neighbors. I think the highlight was a tent of real swords.
Ada's birthday
Our grown Ada had her 19th birthday. I was so excited that we got to celebrate with her. She came down Friday night and we had cake and a sleepover. Saturday, we drove up to Panda Fest. We had lots of Asian inspired foods, watched some Japanese drums, looked at fun anime pins, etc... It looked like it was going to rain but it didn't until we were done. Then we got dressed and drove over to the Tooelle temple to do baptisms. It was gorgeous sitting in that little valley overlooking the lake. The people we so kind and let us do extra names and everything. Sam and Jer were the baptizers for three different groups and then we drove up to Ada's house for a movie and dinner. We ate at this asian market. It was fun. Then we played games until we drove home. We sure love our girl.
"Banana Bread"
"Corn bread"
We stopped in SLC to look at the temple in between activities. It's looking great.
