Witchfest

Over the weekend, we went to Witchfest.  We invited everyone and most everyone was able to make it.  We had fun.  Sharon, Janelle and I dressed like the 3 fairies from Sleeping Beauty.  Ada was Aurora, Evelyn the fox that steals the prince's shoes, Sam was a dementor, Seth was a ninja, Vivien, Thea and Aubrey were all witches.  It was fun.

Someone was selling mini toy poodles.... the kids were in love with the $2000 dogs. The lady was really nice to let them all hold them.

 

Misc

The not napping partner was non plussed.

Ada and Jer cut down three trees over the weekend... We all helped pull it to the empty lawn and it was exciting.

Seth got this for Christmas years ago.  Worked on it a little bit and then stuck it in a box and forgot about it.  He found the box this week and was a super excited to finish it.  Then we showed him Batman Begins and he ate it all up.  He was so excited.

We went and helped clean up Grandma, Grandpa and Nellie's garden for the winter.

 

Imagine Dragons

Concerts are always so expensive, busy and loud that I don't usually seek them out.  But I knew this was one that the whole family would enjoy and it was just in time for Ada's birthday.... so for her birthday, Jer and I bought tickets for the Imagine Dragons concert. All my kids love them.  Ada choose to keep it a secret and we didn't tell the kids until we got there.  We couldn't find our seats at first, so we just hung out on the grass for the pre-show, then Ada took a walk around and found our seats.  The kids loved dancing and singing.  Ada wished Dad would dance more, but I think overall it was a fun night.

 

Fall Break

Fall Break was a staycation.  We're all pretty tired from this year and financially a little strapped, so we hung out with our Gilchrist cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house and took a trip to Nicklecity.  Ada and I tied with our laser tag scores and it was good we were on opposing teams otherwise everyone else would have gotten stomped.
