Cousin Jude, Evelyn's ALL, and soccer

This last week has been full, fun and joyful. Just of the few things to mention....
Jer took Seth to Classic Skate night for Noah Webster while I had the other three at YW/YM's.  We played yard games together.

Jer went to the State convention. He was there both as a party representative and as the Braver Angels organizer. He did a great job and I like seeing him do something that he feels strongly about.

Evelyn was accepted and registered into the district's ALL program. I'm a little worried about her being able to self regulate her homework.  She struggles with that already, but the ALL program head said that they try not to give extra homework.  They try to focus in covering subjects more in depth. We're taking a risk and I hope it pays off. I want her to enjoy school and there's a line between struggling and learning.

The boys got haircuts.... and cracked up about this micro van.

Sam got to be an AR.  I liked that better.  He mostly watched the line and any anger for refs were directed at the center ref.

Jer's really cute.  He's been making a direct effort to make sure that he does something with Seth on Wednesday nights. We came home from mutual to this sight. Awwww....And I think it's time to upgrade Seth's bike.

Jer's siblings were in town. Jay and Emily's baby was sealed to them in the temple on Saturday. I'll write about that down by the pictures.  Judy had a surgery on Monday, so we got to meet with James, Emily, Lucyjayne and Becca.  We ate, chatted and took Jim some lunch at the hospital.

John invited us to play magic with him and Johnny. I walked into this set up.  It's a whole production. Love it.

Saturday after the sealing, we met up at Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner.  Evelyn and Seth had so much fun playing with Lu, Millie, and Ellie.

Ada caught up on homework.  Reading the Hobbit on the hobbit hill.

Saturday, we had Ada, Sam and Seth's soccer games. Sam refereed a game and Ada had two work shifts. In between, Jer was able to get to Jude's baby blessing.  Then I joined them at the temple for the sealing.  It was so neat!  The joy in the sealing was so tangible.  Congratulations family!!!

Millie and Ellie came to hang out with Lu and Emily during the sealing.  These girls are so funny.

Seth got to play goalie.  That was fun.  Usually, the coaches' son is the goalie (he's a good one too), but it was fun for Seth to switch in.

My Mom got us tickets to the Saratoga Springs temple open house.  I told all the kids we were going to the temple and Seth said, "I guess I'll take a book to read outside while I'm waiting." He didn't realize that he could go with us to the open house... Cutie pie.  It's a beautiful temple with Utah lake as the theme for the art. We have 3 more new temples going up around us.  I really hope that my kids get a chance to take part of the volunteering for the open house and dedication.

My parent's stake is getting ready to do FSY for the first time. They invited Brad to come talk about it.  He wanted someone that had been to FSY to come up with him and talk about their experience. Ada was the only one.  It was fun to see her talk about her experience and her excitement about doing it again. Brad said, "My niece..." true.  Great niece, but that's a lot to say.  I loved what Brad had to say about Happiness.  He talked about the world's leading scholar about happiness came out with the 5 things that affect your happiness. 50% genetic.... the other 50% was made up of 1)family 2)fulfillment 3)friendship and 4)faith. I loved this!  Especially the faith one.  They showed that the less people go to church meetings, the higher their anxiety was.

My Dad doesn't usually get to introduce his brother, but he did this time.  He joked about being in Chile with him and Brad making my dad say the phrase, "Mi hermano es muy guapo." And about when Brad won a writing contest and ended up on the cover of the Guidepost magazine. My dad didn't know about it and came across it on him mission in Germany.  He was really confused at why the Christian magazine had a picture of a guy that looked just like his brother on it was everywhere.  I love seeing their relationship as adults.

We went to a dance thing for Evelyn to practice hair and makeup.

Emily, Jude and Jay

Depending on how you count, Jude is the 49th Robertson grandchild.  There are 3 more babies that were born about halfway through the pregnancies and at least 12 miscarriages or more between our families. I'm grateful for eternal families that give us the chance to know these family members.  I love each and every one of you nieces and nephews.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
