School update

Seth was awarded the Noble Knight award a couple weeks ago.  His teacher said that it was because he was working hard on getting in all his work on time and listening well in class.  That's awesome Seth!

They had the Veteran's Day program too.  I love remembering our Veterans.  Evelyn's class sang for them, but they sang pointing up to the stage.

Evelyn chose to join the puzzle club this year.  She really wanted the Art Club but we didn't register until it was all full.  She's been liking puzzle club though.

Veteran's Day

I should have taken a picture, but I honestly wanted to kids to know what it felt like to do a service for someone without being in the spotlight.  We have a very kind and wonderful man in our ward that was in the military for years.  He's been dying from cancer very slowly and his wife takes very good care of him.  He was taken to the hospital for an emergency on Friday and on Monday they were moving him to a care center.  Since it was Veteran's Day, I took all the kids and a neighbor over to their house and raked their leaves.  Because the leaves aren't done falling and because it was being done with a bunch of kids instead of adults, it only looked marginally done by the time that she got home from taking care of her husband.  I don't know if she noticed the difference because leaves are the last thing on your mind when your world is being tossed around, but the kids came away saying that they, "Helped a Veteran." We were only seen by two people, and I don't think they're going to tell on us.

McKay's partay...

So there was kind of a good luck/love you send off for my brother McKay today.  He's getting shipped out to Afghanistan at the end of the week... We promise to love and care for your family while you're defending our country Mickey dough... Here are some pictures we took of the kids... sorry, adults just aren't cute enough...

We found the girls being really girlie... the shoes, dress ups, and even cell phones for a little while.  It was fun.

Aubrey actually helped me take this one... he adores her and vice versa.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
