This father has put up with a lot from me this year and he's handling everything so well. I love him dearly. The kids made his favorite pancakes in the shape of a train. We "tricked" all the guys in the ward into wearing the same tie to church. It was fun to see all the guys giggle as they realized that they were all matching. I didn't get a picture of it and I really should have. The Primary sang The Family is of God.

Randoms from while they were gone
Ada and Sam were gone for FSY. The house was quiet, there were fewer dishes and we missed them completely. We took an evening bike ride to check on the Lindon temple. It's looking amazing. Then it almost rained on us.
We're reading Way of Kings. Seth and Evelyn choose to call snake grass "Knobweed".
We had a power outage that lasted for about 3 hours. Seth doesn't remember having one before, so it was new and adventurous for him. Evelyn was nervous.
The cats love the girls dirty laundry.
The first day I had off from work for the summer, I took Seth and Evelyn to meet up with Rose, Jack and Axel at the Lindon Pool. We were there for 6 hours and got thoroughly sun baked.
Scripture study
Evelyn got her first tutu and is thrilled! She also asked me to teach her to shave in preparation for the ballet.
My ongoing project. I was gifted a stained glass window class for my birthday/mother's day. I've loved it.
We took Maura and Alexx out for her birthday. It was fun to chat and be together.
This wonderful father... for father's day received a shirt that was designed and made by Ada in Commercial Art.
Ada's turned into a gardener... but she had an allergic reaction to something... this spread all over her leg.
Evelyn's Acro outfit. She's a high flyer in the Suessical Circus.
Chilling

This last week
Friday we decorated the teachers doors at the school. We had parent volunteers for the first time all year. A lot of them didn't wear masks, so I made sure that me and my kids did still. We're not quite done with the danger yet. We had 28 doors to decorate and 11 volunteers. Between Ada, Sam, Evelyn, Lyndi and I we decorated 6 doors in about 3 hours. I'm so glad that I didn't have to do them all alone! Today my President Elect went to the school and passed out candy bars to everyone. Tomorrow I have a parent volunteer handing out cards for kids to make teacher's notes to give to them. Wed we have mentos to give to all the employees. Thursday, my secretary is handing out a cute little thing she made and highlighter pens. Friday, one of my board members is making and serving a teacher lunch. I really hope it all goes well. I planned a lot, but besides the doors I have very little to do with execution.
It was my brother, Seth's, birthday. No matter how old he gets, I'm still older... Since movie theaters are struggling right now, it doesn't cost much to rent a whole theater. We watched Back to the Future. Jer and I sat by Reid and he made the comment that this was the 4th time he'd seen this one in theaters. 3 times when it came out in about 1985 and then this week.
These kids are getting so strong and smart about wrestling that it's more about Jer protecting himself and less about him wrestling them.
This is what Ada made in shop class. It's pretty cool and she's very proud of it. I think she did a great job and I'm glad she's having fun. Shop is actually one of the classes she never wants to miss.

Sam gets the Aaronic Priesthood
We definitely didn't plan on a pandemic for this phase of life, but it is. We originally planned on both grandpas, Jer and Sam in the backyard for his ordination. We had been out of school for two weeks and hadn't seen anyone in 9 days. Then Jer started to cough. Our plans changed and McKay invited us over the next week to ordain Sam along with his Isaiah and ordaining Devin as a Teacher. I think Sam was nervous like he always is with change, but once it actually happened felt better. He's still learning that being a Deacon is about learning, not about knowing. I'm so excited to see his growth the next couple of years. He keeps asking when he can go to the temple. We had told him last year that he could go in January. Ooops. Soon Sam, soon.
Seth and Jordan. Jordan is Evelyn's age, but Seth and him get along well.
Grandpa Wilcox, Sam and Jer
Everyone that ended up being in the circle at one point (except Jordan... he's still got another 3 years or so before he gets the priesthood).

I'm so happy for my boy!

Jeremy pictures of Jenny Lake
These are Jer's pictures of Jenny Lake and Table top mountain. We did Jenny Lake on a Saturday, and on Sunday (and because of my physical therapy) I stayed at the hotel with the kids. I washed dirty laundry and masks, had everyone shower and we hung out for the first half of the day while Jer hiked table top mountain. Then we took a scenic drive around the Tetons and stopped to take pictures.
I love these ones.... Jer caught the kids taking each other's pictures. This really is what they were doing the entire trip and it was so cute.
