Easter

We had 4 unexpected long term visitors starting on Easter.  Jer went out and got some extra chocolate and we set up some baskets for the morning and stuffed eggs to do an impromtu easter egg hunt between Conference sessions.  Sam helped me hide all the eggs.  Mia had a blast, Seth and Evelyn had a blast, and Chris had no interest at all until he realized that he didn't get any candy.

Alleluia

This year, we joined my mom's stake to do an Easter program.  It was so fun. Sam was in the orchestra (except had a fever the day of and had to stay home), Ada had a solo, Evelyn and Ada were in the youth number, and my mom, Jeremy and I were in the regular choir. It was so fun and all of us came out just beaming.

Neighborhood Easter Egg hunt

Our kids are getting older but they all still look forward to our annual neighborhood easter egg hunt.  Seth hunted for his last year (it's for ages 0-12) but Evelyn and Sam both helped hide eggs again this year.

The first wave of little kids.

This cat has decided that it likes Tigresses food.

Sam and James being social.

Last year, our old and grumpy cat decided to bite some of the little kids that wanted to pet her, so we exiled her to the backyard while everyone was in the front.  She's so old that all we have to do it shut the gate and she just peers out of the cracks wondering what we just did to her.

Sam was creative.  The kids loved trying to get the ones up in the tree.

Easter catch up

I've been very crazy busy the last few weeks and I'm finally able to sit down and write a few catch up posts.  We had a late Easter this year.  Sam was on band tour to Disneyland, so we celebrated after he got home.  This year we really tried to focus on Christ all week instead of just on the day of.  I loved some of the things that we did and I look forward to doing it again next year.

We had an Easter dinner with my parents. I loved that.  It was nice and very quiet this year.  Both Sharon and McKay's families have had surgeries this month so it needed to be a quiet month.

Our yearly Easter picture... sans Sam.

We had an Easter dinner with the Robertson cousins too.  It was just us, the Hansens and Jim and Judy.  It was fun to see everyone and enjoy talking.

Seth, Walter and Ellie.  I'm going to miss when all our kids are too old to just play like this. They're just so cute.

Our Easter Egg hunt as soon as Sam was home.  Since the kids are all older, we hid about 6 eggs per kid in very random and much harder places.  They enjoyed finding them and eating chocolate/building lego flowers for the evening.

Easter

Easter was different for us.  Sam was out of town most of the week for a band tour to California, and most of our cousins are too big for large Easter egg hunts.  We did a neighborhood one, but when I thought I was taking pictures, my camera had been set into demo mode and I didn't actually get any pictures.  Beth sent me one of Seth and Jack so I'm glad for that.  We had a lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Wilcox where we painted rocks that looked like the one in front of the tomb.  Grandpa Robertson was in Florida, but we got together with Grandma, Joe T, and the Hansen cousins.  We had dinner and sang some of the new hymns.

Ada painted these at young women's.  They turned out beautiful.

This one is Sethie's note.

My primary kids wrote notes to the prophet.  These were a few of the 60 notes that I mailed to the church office building.  My favorite is "Love is just like singing".

To kick of Easter week, we invited friends over to sing the Messiah.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
