When I'm traveling, I usually need a half to full day of rest every 7 days. We thought Sunday would be that for us, but we did a ton of walking that day too.... so I took the next day to take it easy. I washed 3 loads of laundry, cleaned out bags, hung towels, bought Seth a new suitcase and bought a couple of souvenirs for people at home. The rest of everyone went to Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji and I think it was Otagi Nenbutsuji temple but I could be wrong on that one.
Ada and Seth doing the Macarena while we get our bed time cocoa.
Caterpillar bread
The next day, Evelyn spiked a fever. I was afraid that her 3 1/2 week cough had developed into a sinus infection. She and I walked to the hospital and spent 5 hours navigating paperwork and the Japanese language for them to prescribe herbs and lozenges.
Gold leafed ice cream
My personal favorite treat
I really wanted one of these elephant wallets, but I really don't know if it would fit in my pockets well and I didn't need it.... so I took a picture instead.
Sam and Seth came back with Evelyn and I for the evening and we ate next door at a tempura place. It was a fun atmosphere but the food was only so so.
Recreating the Beatles concert on the roof. This place did have an amazing roof top.
