Margaret and Matt's house is only 2 hours from Becca's house, and they were starting school the next day, so we really only had an afternoon with them. But we did see them in Utah this summer, so it worked out okay. We got there in enough time to tell Matt and Maisy 'Happy birthday', play some games with Joe and Marg, let all the younger ones play together, explore the house, go swimming, eat delicious fried chicken and my favorite.... swing on the rope swing in the front yard. We left about 9 pm and drove about halfway to Nauvoo that night.
We played in the room right by the swimming pool so that we could keep and eye and ear on those out swimming. And their bunny, Sil, just hopped around our heels. She kept trying to chew on my flip flops. It felt really funny.
This would be my favorite place in their house. I think it would be the best scripture/reading nook ever.
Sam has been dying to see Eli since they left Utah to go home.
Sam was bummed that he couldn't go swimming, so I swung on the rope swing with him when Eli left to swim. He thought that was fun to do together, but his favorite was when Jer came out and swung him super high. Sam kept yelling, "This is amazing! Wahoo!"
Jer took a turn too.
