The next day was all travel. We slept in a little because we didn't get to sleep until 2/3am. We visited John's family late and then got back to our hotel and Seth slipped in the bathroom and split his head. Luckily it wasn't too deep, just wide. We were able to get it to stop bleeding and used this awesome headband to keep a gauze on his head for a day or two. Then we drove to Kentucky to visit Becca and James' family. Our kids are so similar in ages, attitudes and interests that it was fun to see the parallels. I enjoyed listening to music and playing games with Becca and James.
Seth and Taylor had pillow case races down the stairs. I thought that was hilarious. My siblings and I used to do that. We'd put a mattress against the wall at the bottom and just plow right into it.
And of course, where there's a Robertson, there's a treat.
My feet got really painfully swollen because of all the time in the car, my time of month and the humidity. It got to a point where they were painful to touch, hurt to walk and looked like sausages. I read that magnesium helps, so Becca and I took a trip to the store and found some. That and putting my feet up for a long while seemed to help them until I got home again.
We shared the cheese we bought in Wisconsin. Everyone was adventurous. Becca and James made us fried oreos. Surprisingly good and definitely unhealthy.
This little Owen guy! He'd hold up his fist and wait for a fist bump.... wouldn't move until you gave him one. He's so smiley and happy.

On Sunday, we ended up going to Primary with Becca. It was fun. The Clary's were giving talks and doing the Article of Faith and prayers. Becca is the Primary President and ended up having to sub for singing time on 2 minutes of notice. Jer helped James sub in Rocky's class. I loved Rocky's talk. I thought it was beautiful how he used the half dome chain.
These girls haven't seen each other for a bit, but they decided about a year ago to be pen pals. I know that Ada for one loves getting her cousin's letters in the mail. It always makes her happy.
