So, since last night was supposed to be the coldest night in three years we tried to take some extra precautions.... We turned on a space heater under our cupboards and ran the dryer (both of these of unthawed our frozen pipes in the past...), kept our heater up a little warmer than usual, pulled the car forward to not get frost on the wind shield, put an extra towel in Lucy's dog house along with her usual heat lamp, got Lucy in her dog house and put a towel over the door to keep the heat in better, and of course... warm jammies on kids. And what happened?
Our pipes still froze, Ada ended up kicking off her blanket and being cold. Don't know about Jer's windshield... I'll have to ask him about that, and about noon I noticed that I hadn't seen Lucy running around all morning... I went to go check on her and she was still huddled in her dog house... she thought that the towel over the door was there to keep her in not to keep her warm... funny dog.

I can't remember being cold - hope it gets warmer soon. It is hard to watch the news while we go to the beach :)
I can honestly say I don't miss the snow... poor dog.
Wow! Sorry your pipes froze. I don't think we have ever had that and if we have, we have never known about it.
It is so cold. I am laughing out loud about how Ada talks about the dinosaur movie when you pass our house. It was just Land Before Time. That is awesome though. I hope your playgroup went well. Emma Jane still has not kicked her cold. Poor girl.
Play group was fun... we only had a couple of people come but that's what I expected considering how cold it was.
