Birthday party day

So, Evelyn and her cousin Jordan (and cousins Harrison and Samuel) all have birthdays the same week. A couple of times we've accidentally scheduled parties on the same day.  This time it was the same day and same time. Whoops. I took Evelyn's group to her party and Jeremy took Sam to Jordan's party. It worked out in the end.  For our kids' 12th birthday, we do a little extra.  After their 12th birthday, I don't plan parties.  They can invite friends over, but I don't do the whole planning thing or the activities thing.  Evelyn chose to go to the space Center for her "last" birthday. We invited her friends, and they did a sort of Star Trek simulation.  Most of her friends are on the spectrum or have ADHD.... I was a little worried about how crazy it might be so Ada did me a favor and was the Commander of the mission.  She did a good job.  She was upset that we didn't get to finish and that we died three times, but honestly, I remember dying when I did it as a 5th grader.  I think it happens more often than she knows.  Evelyn seemed to have a blast and was giggly the rest of the day.  She especially loved showing off our new kittens.

The guy in charge said that since we were in Utah that he could spell our names however he wanted.

Commander Ada and Master of Maintenace and Engineering.

My sweet baby.... I can't believe that she's 12!

One of her friends designed and 3d printed 3 mini figures of dragons. They were so cute.... a little fragile, but I think that's one heck of a birthday present.

Jordan said that he had a great birthday. I'm glad and Sam said he had fun.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
