Officially 11

Our Seth is officially 11 years old.  I feel like that's hard to believe. I'm in denial that my baby will be old enough to hold the Priesthood and enter the temple in the next 4 months. Maybe I need to stop listening to my inner voice saying that he's the youngest and start looking at him like a preteen instead.  He's kind, loves the daycare kids and his friends.  He's growing leaps and bounds with piano. I love being in Primary with him and all the cuddling that he's willing to do.  If I need something for the cats, he's the first one to volunteer. He loves math and is a good reader (even if he doesn't like to read books). He wants to play the drums, be a youtuber, and he says maybe a teacher. He's learning what it's like to have the responsibilities of an older kid and what's appropriate and what's not.  I'm proud of him and I'm happy that he's ours.
He asked Dad for a minecraft cake. He asked if we could make it gluten free because his best friend has a gluten allergy.  Jer did a great job and it was eaten within days of his party.

Evelyn was the villager that you could trade with during Seth's bday party.

For his birthday, Seth wanted to do an obstacle course.  He even made it himself.  It was fun and he made it challenging enough for the big kids.  Then I made lots of different colors of rice Krispie treats and they built their own minecraft stuff. Then they all played stick fight until it was time to go home.  Jeremy, Ada and Sam were so tired that day.  Jer is over cleaning the church in the mornings and the other two helped Uncle Seth build shelves in Nellie's garage.  Evelyn and I cleaned the house, and Seth set up the party activities.  By the time the party was done, we were tired.  I cleaned up a handful of things then lots of people went to nap.  Then there were some wind bursts and Beth and I ran out to clean up the rest of the party.

Sam made a video game playlist for Seth for his party.  It was fun and cute.

The "store".

We got Seth a Lego star Wars set for his birthday.  He's been watching the Star Wars movies with Jer and loving them.  He wasn't super impressed with his gift at first.... but then him and Jer watched Rogue One together and he realized that the ship is the one he got.  Then he was thrilled.

We had Beth's family for dinner and milkshakes on Seth's actual birthday.  Beth felt like she shouldn't intrude, but Seth only asked for two things.  Legos and spending the day with Jack.

Alyssa, Jack, Alex, Seth, Zak, Lliam

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
