Every year, our statewide 5th graders put on a spectacular show called the Hope of America. I've loved the show all three times we've seen it. This marked our last one for our kids. Evelyn kept saying that we can come back when her kids do it. Last time we had a hard time finding a cougar tail donut so Ada and I split up and ran the rim looking for one. We both found them and we ended up with 6 of them on accident. We shared one with Seth's friends, each of the kids had one and we took one home.
I was watching a kid in front of us that was obviously special needs. He was trying everything he could to get his dad to take him out of the room without actually throwing a tantrum. His dad was handling it marvelously. And when he was typing 'like yes my like yes' was when his grandma was stroking his arm. It takes a village.

Evelyn is obsessed with these cougar tails.
Seth performed spectacularly. You could tell he knew all the words and actions. He performed them with gusto and I enjoyed watching him through my magnified camera lens.
