For the solar eclipse, we were going to drive down to goblin valley to watch it... but Sharon was coming down for the weekend for mom and dad's anniversary, so we decided to stick around. We went to the Wilkerson farm with them and took all the stuff to watch the eclipse on the way. I love getting together with my family. I'm lucky that we are able to see them once every couple of months. We saw McKay's family not long ago and Seth invited us to come paint with him at the game store a little while ago. Hopefully we get to see everyone in November.
My favorite part about solar eclipses are that the light gets so very intense and yellow right before it happens.
Jer got a solar filter for our telescope, we got it to work on our camera and it was fun to watch the progress with it. It got a little closer than this, but with the pictures it captured more light than with the naked eye.
I haven't ridden a Ferris wheel in years. I think the last one was when Sammy was a few years old and it freaked me out that I had a wiggly kid that could just jump out... now the kids are all old enough to have some self control. It was fun.
These boys rode a couple of very fast twirly rides in a row and felt sick for a little while after. They ended up needing to take a break.
See that really pretty yellow light? It was a little bit more intense in person.
Ready for the future!
