Washington Trip #6

The next day, the air was so completely terrible and it had gotten a little colder (which was good because it started to rain... which was very much needed).  We drove down from Schwietzer Lodge and instead of going blueberry picking, we took a quick stop at the Sandpoint city beach.  It was lovely and if it weren't for the air quality I would have loved staying longer. The kids played in the sand and Evelyn and Seth got quite wet.  We changed both of them eventually into some dirty but dry clothes.  We decided to do indoor activities for the rest of the day.  We stopped at the ReStore on the way back to Spokane.  They had a lot of good used furniture.  They had three really large tables and we came close to getting one (our table just barely fits us, but it doesn't really fit anyone else at this point).  My parents then went and got tickets to The Incredibles 2 while Jer and I found a model train store.  The owner was very nice and had just opened the store in June.  He told us that next time we need to visit Kellogg.  There's a mine that you can explore and the longest gondola ride in the US.  The movie was hilarious!  I loved hearing all the kids laughing out loud down the row.  It was a little political, but so funny.  After that, we were all tired out and went back to my parents apartment to play/hang out.  My Mom and I chatted about genealogy and technology.  Then she helped me cut off some stretchy moles that I was afraid of doing myself.

Favorite memory of the trip?  All the kids coming in and cuddling on my parents bed.
