Thanks all who've watched kids and cleaned house for me! You are amazing! And I hope that I can help out just as much or more when it's your turn for a need!
Well, we went to the hospital at 7am to be induced... after me sleeping most of the day (I love epidurals) I was finally a 6 by about 10:45pm... and ready to deliver a half hour after that. Only 15 minutes of pushing this time too! (even with the doctor being called out in the middle to go help someone else...) They had me stop pushing halfway through as well because she had the cord wrapped around her neck... that's two out of the three kids now. They got her out, sewed me up, and I fell asleep on the delivery table. Hmmm... wasn't tired was I? She's a little jaundiced but she's beautiful and we love her! She was 8 lbs 3 oz. 20 inches. and born at 11:28pm. (16 1/2 hour labor this time... do you think I'm getting better at this?) She was all folded in half. It was pretty funny. My mom said that if she didn't see her come out she would have thought that she was a breech baby because she doesn't just curl up like the other babies, but she sticks her feet straight up and around her ears. So far the kids both love her and ask to help her with things. I'm so glad! I was so worried that Sammy would have a hard time, but he offers her things like binkies and toast. And when I asked Ada what she thought of Evelyn she said, "Mommy, I think she's lovely." And when we brought her home... Ada didn't even say hi to me, she just said, "Where's baby Evelyn?"
Just seconds after being born... my first view of my new baby.
Yeah, I know... not my most attractive picture... but we're all there.
Bright eyed and beautiful.
