Driving Permit

It's official!  We have two teenage drivers.... Sam got his permit yesterday and couldn't be more excited to use it.

Robertsons

Pre-Father's Day run

Ada, Jer and I attended Margaret's presentation on Minerva Teichert. It was well done and I enjoyed Ada's comments on it.  One of her decedents came too.

This was the chapel that Jer and I met and dated in... so Ada had a special request for a picture here.

Ada swimming is always a must. Seth is getting a lot better at swimming.

Cove Fort

Jer and I decided to have a quick walking break with the kids on the way home from St George. We took a stop at Cove Fort. It was fun to read about all the neat things with the kids.

I have a picture just like this with my Ellis cousins growing up.  I should find it.

Randoms from while they were gone

Ada and Sam were gone for FSY. The house was quiet, there were fewer dishes and we missed them completely. We took an evening bike ride to check on the Lindon temple.  It's looking amazing. Then it almost rained on us.

We're reading Way of Kings. Seth and Evelyn choose to call snake grass "Knobweed".

We had a power outage that lasted for about 3 hours. Seth doesn't remember having one before, so it was new and adventurous for him. Evelyn was nervous.

The cats love the girls dirty laundry.

The first day I had off from work for the summer, I took Seth and Evelyn to meet up with Rose, Jack and Axel at the Lindon Pool. We were there for 6 hours and got thoroughly sun baked.

Scripture study

Evelyn got her first tutu and is thrilled!  She also asked me to teach her to shave in preparation for the ballet.

My ongoing project.  I was gifted a stained glass window class for my birthday/mother's day.  I've loved it.

We took Maura and Alexx out for her birthday. It was fun to chat and be together.

This wonderful father... for father's day received a shirt that was designed and made by Ada in Commercial Art.

Ada's turned into a gardener... but she had an allergic reaction to something... this spread all over her leg.

Evelyn's Acro outfit.  She's a high flyer in the Suessical Circus.

Chilling

Our "feral" pet cats chilling with the kids in the hammock.

FSY

Ada and Sam went to FSY again this year.  We were all quick to jump on it when our Stake was offered any open spots on our off year.  Ada went to Cedar City and Sam went to St George. Jer took the day and drove them down.  Then Friday, we all drove down and stayed the night to pick them up Sat morning.  They had a great time.  Sam had a really cool testimony meeting and Ada LOVED being part of the choir. It was a really hot week, but we all made it back healthy and safe. Sam said the day that they did the outdoor games, it was 110.

missionary homecoming/farewell

We had the joy of being able to attend Mariah's farewell and Aubrey's Homecoming.  They worked well together speaking with the spirit and we enjoyed a musical number by Jon and them. Mariah said it's only the 2nd time they've ever performed with their dad.  I'm glad that they had that opportunity.

Grandpa explaining to Sam how to get his crinkle cookies soft.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
