Parents Farewell

I love when a family comes together to support their members.  It's really one of my favorite things about growing older.  My parents are currently in the MTC and doing some training in Salt Lake City.  But a couple of weeks ago we went to their Ward to listen to them both speak and celebrate with an openhouse at their house afterwards.

Sharon and I performed "I know that my Redeemer Lives". My Mom spoke about covenants and invited Sam up to recite the 4th article of faith... I loved when he got up there because he just disappeared behind the podium and you could hear him and not see him.  My Dad talked about 3 main points, but the one that stuck with me was talking about Peter getting out of the boat.  How he had the faith to get out and follow the Savior.    The whole meeting was beautiful.

At the openhouse, not only were all my siblings there, but all my Dad's brothers were there and most of my Mom's siblings were too.  I was in the kitchen for most of the openhouse, so I assigned a couple of the girls to take pictures and was very happy with what they took.

Valentine's Day

Well, I have quiet a busy week to catch up with, which I will have lots of time to do tomorrow.  For today, Jer wrote each of the kids a letter telling them what he loves about each of them.  Evelyn read it, came to me and told me, "This makes me feel so happy."

Elephant feet

One party game was walking on 'elephant' feet.

Ada

Little Miss Ada Bug is not a little miss anymore.  She's definitely growing up.  She's my best helper, has become an amazing reader and is spunky and funny.

Sam

This kid actually smiled for me.  He usually fights pictures tooth and nail. Sam is the sweetest hugger and fastest helper.

Evelyn

This cute nut has developed more and more of herself.  She knows what she likes and doesn't like.  She's an incredible reader.  Loves when I spend one on one time with her, and I also love her ears.

Seth

This little bug has made so many happy improvements this year.  He's generally happy and loves when the kids are home from school.  He loves dinosaurs and bikes.  He also loves trains and cars.  I personally love his amazing ears...

Sharon and Brad's family

Emma and Lance are especially good at smiling.  I never have to remind them.

McKay and Sophie's family

While I was making my way around the pond, Sophie got everyone settled.  Then I slipped and snapped my tendon.  I knew something had happened, but we had to keep going.  We took these and then did Sharon's and my families.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
