3rd Grade play

Sam was ecstatic to participate in the Turkey's Go on Strike play this year.  Him, Ada and Evelyn all sang the entire play over and over in the van while Sam was practicing.   He had two parts this time.  He got to be a football player (Ada was excited because that was her part) and a student.  As a football player, him and his friend had a small piece that they had to sing into the microphone together, but as a student he did a solo part.  It was only a line or two of the song, but he never told me that he was doing it so it took me by surprise.  He definitely had fun.

I love this boy!  I'm also grateful that Jer gave me a 200mm lens for Christmas so that I can still see this cute face from the back of the auditorium.

After the play, they gave everyone an option of just going home or staying for the last two hours of the half day of school.  I asked Sam, he decided to stay because, "How will I know what's going to happen if I'm not here."  About an hour into it he called me saying that it was boring and he really wanted me to come get him.  I came and picked up the kids early and we ran errands.

backlog

The last two weeks have been busy.  I haven't been able to sit and log any of it for our blog.  Right now, I'm waiting for the dishwasher repairman, so I'm forced to stay in the house and I'll take the time to catch up on things.

I think that our ceiling looks good.  You would never know that we had to tear it out and replace it.

Here were the promised pictures from Lizzie and Dusty's wedding... I stole one of them from the photographer because I was more busy chasing kids than taking pictures this time.

This is the one I stole from the photographer.... Love these people!

Potty Trained

I think Seth is officially potty trained.... No accidents all weekend and he's telling me when he has to go.  He's even taken himself a few times when I've been elbow deep in wash water or dinner prep.  We're still working on the night time part, but I'll take it.  In everything, you need to search for the positive... one of my positives about our fertility challenges is that this will be my last potty trainer.  I'm sure that that we'll have other challenges with our kids, but so far in the 10 years of parenting... potty training is my least favorite.  He had a few pee accidents, and a few poop... only one that was really bad and luckily Jeremy was home for that so I didn't have to clean it up alone.  Good job Seth.

Evelyn

Noble Knight

Evelyn got student of the week. You could tell she was thrilled.

Sam fencing

I also love to see Sam do things that he thinks are hard. Going from the little kids class to the older kids class was hard on him. He's doing a great job though.

Ada

The Fencing Club had a practice competition. It was fun to see a Ada  fencing again. I love when she works hard and when she plays with her friends. She has some good friends at fencing. I love watching her learn new skills.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
