We got to go to the Bean Museum with Sam's friend from Kindergarten. This is William. His mom is fun to talk to, and Sam likes playing with him... maybe we'll try getting together again.

The Millers are back
Our friends from a couple years ago moved back from California. They called us up and we've hung out a couple times. I've very much loved having my friends back. Jer and Glade are very much alike... from their jobs to their hobbies. Mili is such a sweet and amazingly kind friend. She's in the midst of 6 month old clingy baby... Not an easy stage to live through, but I know she'll be just fine. This is a picture of our family night about following the prophet.
Visit from cousins
Diane and 9 of her kids came to visit the other day. While the kids were playing and Ruth, Kate, Diane and I were talking... Susan found the leftovers on the table. I guess she climbs now huh... She ate all the leftovers... she must have been hungry.
Horsing around
Evelyn and Lance being aviators at the Hill Air Force Museum.
This nutty group of kids re-enacted the entire Harry Potter's first book for me. Including 4 Harry's, 2 Ron's, twin Hermione's, a Voldemort and a guy in a turban.
They had fun while I mowed the lawn... It was nice.
Pictures off my phone
Now that I'm all caught up with dealing with pictures off my camera, here are the cute ones from my phone.
Cute cousins Sethie and Suzie. They went from being mildly curious about each other to liking each other I think.
Playing in the pool at Grandma Robertson's.
Ada and Maisy playing American Girl Dolls.
Margaret, Judy and I made it to the temple to do some endowments. That was nice.
Definite older sister/baby brother relationship... and they love every second of it.

Pioneer Day #2
The two pictures right behind Jer are Robertsons
This hand cannon was made by a Robertson
He was fascinated
The difference between Ada and Evelyn... Ada says, "Mom, take a picture of me!"
"Evelyn, smile at mom!"
These kids absolutely loved this! It was $6 each for about 10 minutes... It was worth it to try. They were giggly and happy.
Pioneer Day #1
July 24th is a big day in Utah. I think it's comparable to the 4th and has a different dimension to it. It's the day that we celebrate the Pioneers that came from the United States and settled Utah before it became part of the nation. Both Jeremy and I have pioneer ancestry and I love to hear their stories. One of mine came over, disowned from her wealthy family for choosing to stay true to her faith in England. One of Jer's was a family of 5 Scottish brothers that settle Spanish Fork. One of them was a blacksmith. I think Jer said he was descended from William Robertson.
Jer got up early to run the Temple to Temple 5k with his scouting group. They've been training for it for weeks and Jason was so proud of himself for being able to beat Jer's 21 minute time. Then we went to the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days for the first time. It was fun. It wasn't as big as some of the Orem ones that I've been too, and that alone was nice. We started out at the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers museum. That was fun to show the kids a little slice of what it would have been like to be a pioneer. It was also fun to see the things and pictures of the Robertson brothers that had been donated to the museum. Next we went to a pioneer village and quilt show before we walked through the shops/booths. We don't usually buy much of anything or pay for rides, but we found one that was different enough that we did. The kids got to be hampsters in the water. They LOVED it... and it was for about 10 minutes instead of 2-3 minutes before moving on to the next customer. I'm going to post pictures in the next blog post... I have too many pictures for today.
That night, we went our neighbor's bbque. The Clinger family hosted a very large bbque and Justin Hoer, who has his pyrotechnician license put on a show for us. It was so neat. It was the nearest I've seen to what fireworks at the BYU stadium were like when I was little that I've seen in a long time. I usually don't post firework pictures, but I wanted to show a little snippet of what Justin put on.

Evelyn, Ada and Laurel
Evelyn has a unique gift. She knows exactly how to get others to do things she doesn't want to, like walking.
Jer's feeding the baby... too cute.
I loved that this one looked like Medusa.
Sam spelling his name.
The finale.

This is such a fun family. They're sweet and playful. It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain! It was...
