Week up to date

Saturday, we got to go to Mariah's bridal shower, Ada had her preference date where she went with a group of 11 girls to a rage room and the dance at the Provo Library, Jer helped a neighbor move and Sam went on an over night band tour to the U of U.  Then Seth, Evelyn and I met up with my parents, Nellie and Seth at the Natural History Museum.  We'd been talking about how much we love the Triceratops wall... It's been a long time since we've gone. They were having an exhibit about different bugs, venoms, camouflages, etc.... Then we had pizza and everyone went to play D&D with Uncle Seth.

Seth said, "Mom, they better have hidden a mammoth on the mammoth.  If they didn't...." Then he got all excited that he found one sitting on the leg bone.

They had these little toy mammoths hidden around.  We found 8 of them.

Mariah is a cutie pie.  I like Karl too.  I think they go together well.

Seth liked the tent Jer and I had in our room so much that Jer and him made one in the basement to watch movies in.

Comfortable homework position?

I was telling Seth that we needed to trim his hair.  He didn't want to until I told him that he looked like emo Spiderman.

ALL my family was really trying to stay awake in church this week.  They did it, but it was so funny to see all of them fighting for it.

Valentine's Day

Ada was cold so she climbed into Evelyn's big coat with her.  Jer and Seth wanted to jump in too.

Jer and I had a tent date night.  We made a tent and watched Hidalgo.

These brothers crouch down to do puzzles just the same way.  It's so funny.

Evelyn was the dead body in her English class after reading Romeo and Juliet.

We had parent teacher nights at both the jr high and the high school.  All the kids are doing really well and I love hearing from their teachers.

I sure love my new painting and the sleeping buddies.

Cousin Eli got his mission call to Salt Lake!  That's pretty exciting.  Maybe he'll get to be part of the Salt Lake Temple rededication.

Evelyn's valentine's day flowers died without opening and only about a day after being bought.  Jer thinks that maybe they were frozen before being sold.

Our family Valentine's Day activity...
L - a location starting with L.  The kids said Lindon to visit grandparents.... I didn't want to tell them that they got the wrong city.... so "living room" might be the location
O - a place to eat starting with the letter O.... our favorite sushi place fit the bill
V - a drink starting with the letter V (I did a vanilla protein shake, I think everyone else did "Very Dark Hot Chocolate")
E - an activity...  we played EA games (Battlefield 1942)

I got the kids suckers that play music through bone conduction when you put your teeth on them.

Aunt Nellie got the kids Valentine's Day treats.

Seth's school Valentine's Day box.  He made a "vent" that when you open it an among us guy pops out.

Sam played his flute choir piece in the commons on Friday morning.

This week's doings

We got to go to a BYU orchestra concert where Sam's flute teacher was the first chair.  It was spectacular.

She's working so hard and it's definitely pushing her limits.

Seth's Scholar led Conference.  He's doing a great job with his education. He made a windmill the other day.

My sewing helper... she jumped every time the needle came up.  It was funny.

For Valentine's Day, Grandma Robertson gave us her annual handmade cards and my parents did a new twist on their annual Valentine's cookies.  We appreciated both!

Sam had a band field trip and forgot his wallet, so I ran over and bought him some food.  He was so sweet and let me stay to chat while he ate.

My cute husband sharing his trains with my daycare kids.  They sure like it.

Sam's teacher, Madison.

Printmaking

Grandpa pulled out his art from college.  We got to try making prints with his old blocks.  It was so fun.

Self portrait.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
