Puzzle Hunt

The day after Christmas, my friend Beth invited us to do an outdoor escape room.  We divided into three groups of three and raced to complete all 6 puzzles.  Beth, Evelyn and Rose won.  We all had a fun time.  Then we went for pizza after.  Then we met up with the Komens for dinner, a movie and travel pictures.  That was fun too.

Christmas Day

We got up at a leisurely 7:30 am. All the kids slept on the floor in the boys room.  It was really cute.
Sam's Christmas consisted of a trumpet, two cheap Japanese flutes, and an anvil.  It's so fun to see his fun interests as he grows.

Seth wrapped the anvil. It was really heavy. It was so funny watching both him and Seth trying to position it.

Evelyn's favorite gift was Temmie.

Ada's getting singing lessons.

Daddy got trains.

Seth got mostly legos.  He was thrilled.

Our engineer had fun with the train and with building tunnels for it.

Jer made me a board to work on stained glass projects.  It was so nice of him.  My main present was a painting by my friend, Sabrina Squires.

Christmas breakfast.

Evelyn loves her diamond dots.

Lego time.

The cat thought that she had to be part of all this too.

The most thoughtful presents were from Ada.  She customized two magic cards for each of the family.  It was so cute.

Christmas Eve

Usually on Christmas Eve, we are with the Robertson's. Grandma just had surgery, and I had the tail end of a cold, so we did something else this year.
We drove around to look at lights.

We made pinecone cake pops.  It was Ada's brain child and it was fun to do.

We watched movies, made cake and Uncle Seth painted the temple that Jordan printed for grandma.

Ada helped me run some last minute errands.

The downtown lights were still on when we were on our way home, so we stopped to "frolic".

Getting ready to frolic.

The Forgotten Carols

On the 23rd, we got to go to the Forgotten Carols. I've seen it a few times before.  It's been changed a little over the years, but it's mostly the same.  There are a couple of songs that I really like.

Uncle Mark and Aunt Carol

My Aunt and Uncle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.  It was fun to visit with them cousins and Great Aunts/Uncles. Sam loves Uncle Mark especially.  He really loves to learn blacksmithing with him and last time he went I tagged along.  I loved watching them and chatting.  Sam made a metal star.  Uncle Mark made me one too.  They are rally cool.

Caroling

Jer arranged for a different type of caroling this year.  It was about 50 degrees, so we hitched up the trailer, and with our piano, violin, flute, saxophone, clarinet and voices we wandered the neighborhood.  Ada and her friends knocked on all the doors and we just went.  It was so fun.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
