Grandpa's birthday

We celebrated my Dad's birthday in July at my brother, McKay's, house.  They just moved so it was fun to get to see their new home and see how well all the kids have settled into their schools, church and neighborhood. They are thriving and it's so good to see.

Ada did balloon animals for her YW's lesson about repentance and the Atonement.  I thought it was very well done, so I copied her in Primary.  The kids loved it.  Then she took extra balloons to make balloon animals for Jordan, Vivien and Thea.  It was very cute.

Sharon brought a snow cone machine.  It was Seth's favorite thing ever.  He decided that he's going to buy one with his own money.  He hasn't done it yet, but I'm sure as soon as the opportunity comes up, he'll be right there.

The teens decided to play hot potato with balloons filled with water.

New camera

My camera doesn't focus as well anymore... so Jer and I splurged on a new one.  This are a couple of pictures from me just playing around with the new one.

Amber

My cute cousin has a print making business. I took some pictures of her and enjoyed catching up with her.  Jer was so patient with me. He came along and then we went to our anniversary dinner afterwards.  We talked about our artistic Grandma and how much we love the process of making art. She told me that her favorite colors are all based on orange and that she never thought of that until our wedding 19 years ago... Our colors were orange, pink, red and yellow. She loved how pretty the orange was and has loved it ever since.  I quite hardily agree with her.  She is an amazing artist and I wish her luck with her new business!

4 square

Jeremy made a 4 square on top game. It's such a fun one. I can also play it because I don't have to run and catch anything.  The little kids can play too.  It was perfect for both his and my family reunions this year.  This picture looks like it's Ellie, Cyrus, Millie, Sam, Jer, Eli and Jim.

Anniversary

Our Anniversary was low key this year.  We've been running our heads off, so we drove by the temple, had dinner and called that a night.  Best part was that both of us got our anniversary wrong.... a friend asked how many years we'd been married and we both said 18 years.... It's 19 this year. Yep.  This good man is still the man I'd choose.  Through all my ups and downs, he's a wonderful constant. My biggest joy is seeing him and our kids laugh together. I love my Jeremy!

End of June/Evelyn's ballet

Life kind of exploded for a couple of months.  I'm just barely getting to blogging about June and here we are in August.  This might take a while but I feel it's important to me to remember good and bad of things that happen in my life. I feel like it's important for my kids to remember experiences and love and each other.

In the end of June, Evelyn performed in the Seussical ballet.  She was one of Maisy's friends and I don't remember her other role.  I believe it was a who, but she'd probably correct me on that one.  Because her acro teacher/class changed three times last year, she ended up being in a much younger class. She was such a cute little momma hen to those little girls.

Jeremy did our volunteer hours for the ballet this year as a backstage runner. Ada and I took turns with Evelyn's makeup and I think I've finally gotten down the ballet hair.  It only took 5 years.
This is such a perfect representation of my kids.  I thought it was pretty fun.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
