Lady bugs

In May/June, we release ladybugs into our rose bushes.  I love doing it every year, but the kids have had varying interest in it. When they were little, they LOVED it. Sam not as much, but the others adored them.  This year, Evelyn and Ada loved it.  Sam and Seth were non plussed.  (And we got Tigress shaved).

I didn't throw Sam a party but he wanted to hang out with friends.  He invited 8 and at first only 2 showed up... by the end, all 8 were there.  They played cage of death, pickleball, Supersmash bros.... etc... I provided the donuts.

End of the school year

Ada and I joined Seth, Beth and Jack for school on the lawn.  Ada liked going back to her elementary school and running into her friend Austin. I enjoyed spending time with my people.

Jordan's birthday party

We went up to McKay and Sophia's new house to celebrate Jordan's birthday. They have a really great new ward and I couldn't be happier for them. Sam, Seth and Jer were all at the Father Sons campout. Jeremy was in charge of it this year and did a great job. They drove up afterwards and we went down to Salt Lake for the symphony. They were playing Jer's favoite.

 

My birthday

Last week was my birthday. It was fun.  We opened Evelyn and Sam's birthday gifts because we were going to be at Bear Lake work week on Evelyn's birthday and Sam was going to be at FSY in St. George for his birthday. For my birthday present, I wanted to take the family to Red Maple.  We all love good Chinese, so it was perfect.  All of us had fun and we had leftovers for the next day.

Cristina's family threw me a surprise party.  They brought me a cake, chips, soda and included Paola and Ytalo, Veronica and Edison as guests.

My Mom and Janelle threw me a birthday dinner too.  They made Hawaiian haystacks. It's a fun build it yourself meal. Then the kids stayed with them while Jer and I went to the temple.

Mother's Day

I spent the morning sleeping.  Joe T had spent the night and the "kids" all played games, jumped on the trampoline... Joe got many compliments from our ward members on his voice. The Primary did a great job singing More Than Enough. Then I spent the afternoon drawing with Ada while Dad made dinner and the kids did the dishes. Then we played Firefly.  Three of us were ready to win.... Sam ultimately did.

I loved how she kept putting her head into the bag.

I did a portrait of Ada. I haven't drawn people in 20 years.  It went pretty well but I am rusty.
