Sam The Suessical Musical

 

Sam was in the school musical this year.  Evelyn said she would have wanted to try out, but with her dance and acro... it just ended up being Sam.  He was in the musical theater class and earned a Wickersham brother role. Everyone that saw him told me, "He's too nice to be the bully."  He did spectacularly.

Mindy

My cousin, Mindy, graduated from the University of Utah this last week.  She's a good woman that works hard and loves what she does. I'm so glad that I got to wish her well. And I'm so glad that I got to say hi to cousins I haven't see in years. I saw Tyrone for the first time in almost 20 years and Eric for the first time in 10.  I loved being able to catch up and be with them for a while.  My Mom came with me. She knew it was going to be hard for her to get to the pavilion, but she came anyways. Time with family is worth physical pain.

Me and Eric. Janelle, Eric and I went to High School together and Eric's biological sister was my foster sister. He's a proud father and grandpa. I love that he's thriving.

catch up

I'm cleaning out nooks and crannies lately... I realized I never got a picture of Seth with his valentine's day box.  Ada made it years ago and lent it to Seth. I think his box and him have the same smile.

Ada got new hiking shoes and donated the box to the cats.  They accepted the donation without hesitation.

 

Uncle Seth

It was my brother's birthday. He's a good man. Nellie made him tacos and I brought ice cream.  This was the Uncle pile after dinner.  It's a good thing that the kids are cute.  They dog pile him all the time.

 

missionaries

Not only is our sweet niece, Aubrey, home from her mission to Peru... but our Mariah is now going to be leaving to serve in the Hong Kong mission.  She's well prepared and is going to be an excellent missionary.

 

Ada's Prom

This cute girl got to go to prom. She and some of her math friends were talking about prom on Thursday... None of them had dates, so they asked each other out. Ada's friend, Brenton, paid for her activity (an escape room), her flowers, and for her dinner at Applebee's. He was a complete gentleman and I'm glad she got to go with him. Her group of friends are planning on taking Calculus BC and the lab together next year too. It was hard to find a prom dress in one afternoon, but after 5 stores and only one break down from her and one from me... she chose this beautiful dress.  Happy surprise was that it was on sale when I got to the register to pay. She had so much fun and especially liked trying press on acrylic nails for the first time.  Seth says they're, "Gross." Ada likes how they clack and Sam likes when she scratches his back with them. Ada made a boutonniere for her date and got it on him without stabbing him... so win-win.

Ada made him a thank you poster instead of asking him out with one.

She got to hang out and dance with many different friends.  It was a good night. This one is Sierra who is in our ward.

Seth got a hankering to make a tank to protect him while he played nerf gun wars.  He can still see and shoot out of his 'gun', but he can't be hit.  He wants to make it taller so he can stand, but he did a great job.
