Evelyn's school play

Jer's first out of the house excursion was to see Evelyn's play.   She loved doing it and has asked if she can do it again. She was a Brave girl from Peter Pan Jr.  It was very cute and I got to take as many pictures as I could because they asked me to sit in front and take pictures for the school.

All the stuff

Jer still can't walk but has been given permission to work as much as he can without getting his full 40 hours in because he can't fully sit up either.  So that's a relief.  This week I took the girls shopping.  Evelyn needed pants that weren't so worn that you could see her underwear through them, and Ada needed another pair of work pants.  Of course that meant that we had to try on a bunch of different things as well.  Evelyn fell in love with this jacket.  It's an adult size medium so I didn't let her get it.  She said she didn't care if it didn't fit, she liked how it felt.  It was very fluffy.

Sam was asked by the band teacher if he would try out for Jazz band for next year.  Problem is that he plays the flute and piccolo which they don't use in band.  They gave him a saxophone to try out and he had so much fun.  Milo came over to help him learn how to put it together and tune it.

I don't know how many people would fall asleep at a band concert, but this kid did.  Sam did a great job and we were able to record it for Jer.

Sam band concert selfies.

All three of my babies at daycare are teething, one is wearing a helmet full time and all three of them had pink eye and a cold in the last two weeks.  That doesn't always happen, but they had a rough week for sure.

All the other stuff

Ada's finished Biology project.

Since babies faces aren't all clear... this was meal time the other day.  They're all teething so they all like to be pretty close.

Jer had his first ever trip in an ambulance. Wed, Jer got hurt somehow.  He did a run, went sledding, and did some work in our bathroom putting the cabinets in place.  Between everything, he tore several muscles in his thigh.  The pain is in three places which then radiates down to his knee and up his hips and back.  We were trying to have him rest it.  My marvelous parents took him to the instacare on Thursday because I had daycare. They gave him meds for aggravated nerves.  Friday was okay, Saturday not so okay.  Saturday night, we watched a movie to keep it low key and still spend time with the kids.  About midnight we got the kids to bed and about 12:30 I tried to get Jer up and into bed.  He couldn't stand or sit.  We ended up laying him on the floor and propping him up as best we could.  By 1 am it had gotten worse, and Jer was shaking like he had Parkinson's. Jer asked me to call 911, so I did. I got Ada up to watch for the ambulance and got back down to Jer.  Ada said that they parked in our neighbor's driveway and knocked on their door.  Ada had to go outside and wave them over to us. 5 giant men came down, gave Jer an IV, took his vitals, got him on the stretcher and into the ambulance.  I conferenced with Ada, packed a bag and followed. They did x-rays to make sure nothing was broken and tested some stuff for his nerves.  They diagnosed with him torn muscles in his thigh.  They put him on a muscle relaxer and pain meds and sent us home at 6 am.  We stopped at the pharmacy for some lidocaine patches, grabbed breakfast and I basically dragged Jer into the house.  Sunday our sacrament program was based around the choir song we've been working on for the last two months... So I slept for 3 hours and the kids and I went to church for Sacrament.... then we came home and crashed.

Sam was practicing the flute and Ada walked by and turned on the treadmill on her way by.  She said she was getting him ready for marching band. He just finished practicing and Jer kept joking that any time he made a mistake we would turn up the treadmill.

Robyn's birthday

Robyn invited us to spend her birthday bowling and going out for a fun meal together.  Usually just I go, but my family went with us this time.  It was fun.  I'm a poor bowler, but it was fun.  Happy birthday Robyn!

We went to Yummy's for dinner.  It was a hit. Ada's decided that this is where she wants to go for her birthday.

Seth was hiding his face, so I took pictures until I got one of his face.  But Robyn had ducked out of this one.

Southern Utah

During the big winter storm, the atmospheric conditions were just right by my friend's house that they saw three suns and a double rainbow that went in a circle above their heads.  I thought that was pretty cool.

NOVA program

Our school has a program for good community citizenship.  It's called N.O.V.A.  Evelyn just graduated this last week.  We didn't know about the graduation so I was doing daycare when I got a text from my friend at the school that asked if we were coming.  Jer jumped and went to join her for it.  Evelyn was thrilled that he was there.  I'm proud of you Evelyn!  Some of the things that they had to do to graduate were: plan a service project, do a technology fast, learn about the harms of vaping, smoking and drugs, etc...

Winter storms

We've had record snow storms this year.  We've had more snow in February this year than in recorded history.  It's good because we need the moisture. It makes for some fun sledding too.  The kids had a digital learning day, so Jer took the boys sledding on his lunch break.  They had fun.  Sam had a bunch of friends that were already there.... so they had a blast.  Seth and Jer did snow angels.   Between all the different storms this week we had about a foot of snow in our yard.  We usually don't get very much at all in the valley.  I had daycare, but we couldn't go out in it because my fence that was supposed to be finished by the Wednesday was delayed because of the snow.  Hopefully it will be up by this next Wednesday.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
