Finally Seth's baptism photos

With every kid, I've done a photoshoot for their baptism. Seth's was right when school started so we didn't get a chance to do them.  I asked where he wanted pictures and he said at the Salt Lake Temple.  That's under construction right now, but we had a temple Brick um set handy. Between surgery, illnesses, not having a clean white shirt, etc... we're only 5 months late, but we finally took them.  I haven't edited them, but here's a cute boy excited to be a member of the church.

Sam was calling us for dinner, but these guys laid down like this and I couldn't help but stay longer...

Lance's birthday and cousin temple trip

This last Saturday was so fun. Me and the younger three all hitched a ride up to Sharon and Brad's house for play time and lunch. We had so much fun visiting and just relaxing together. Sharon and Janelle hung out with Seth, Vivien and Thea while the rest of us headed off for the temple.  Jer and Ada met up with us at the Brigham City Temple.  Aubrey was very excited to show Ada her temple recommend.  I'm very happy for her. It was Lance's first time going for baptisms for the dead. Evelyn remembered how to do everything from last time and I was most useful at getting new sizes of bras for the older ones.  There were only 2 other patrons and us, so our group had lots of helpers. It was such a neat experience to be alone in that place with these people.  Devin was ordained a Priest, so he is now old enough to help with the baptisms.  Jer did the baptisms for all three of ours.

Sophie made a reservation for dinner at Idle Isle after we were done.  We were supposed to meet at 6 but we finished about 5:15... so we took a walk around the street and to a candy store and a boutique.  These were one the back of the store.  Ada's kind of self conscious right now, so she had to make a face... but I love these cute girls and all their individuality.

These two... as thick as thieves.

Seth and Sam were so excited to see how much snow there was.  Sharon said that's it's settled quite a bit as well and there isn't as much as there was earlier. Seth kept saying that he should have brought his boots.

75

Jim turned 75!  To celebrate, Judy made lasagna and spaghetti. Amy made rolls and I forgot to bring the veggie because we had a daycare week and I was picking up Ada from work.  Whoops.  Noone really cared.  The lasagna was delicious.

For his birthday, Jer made a basket of all the things that they do together.  A train car, Gatorade because the hike and run, shims and liquid nails, a homemade cocoa, popcorn for movies, etc...  It was fun.  This smile was him laughing at the "Miles O'Keefe" tag on his working hand lotion.

These two are still good buddies.

Ada and Mariah went through the clothes that Grandma was cleaning out of their storage.  Some of them fit her very well.  I wish she had kept this coat, but she doesn't believe in coats apparently.

Grandma found a real corset and underwear.  She's not quite sure where she got it, but we all got a kick out of them.

Fun about growing up

One of the fun things about having older children is that when we have a combined 5th Sunday lesson, we have 5 of the 6 of us there.  Jer taught the lesson about ministering, Ada and Sam were his helpers.  I sat and cuddled with Evelyn until it was time for Seth's Primary talk.

This week, Emma started helping me with daycare.  Here's a super Peter.

January goings on

Evelyn got the Noble Knight last week.  She was so excited. I'm so proud of her hard work. The lady with her is her math teacher and her play director. Jer and I were both busy so we took her out for ice cream after school.  Seth was excited to get to be part of that.

For our youth activity, we had a cookie competition. They had fun and Evelyn won most decorations on cookie...

Evelyn's post prize ice cream.

My Dad and his brother recorded their book for an audible version.  I'm so proud of my Daddy!

Ada saw I was stressed and made dinner without being asked.  I'm so grateful for this girl.

The kids finally got their good grade donuts.  And Ada couldn't resist and bought some cute valentine's day donuts.

End of January

This week we've had two visits from the missionaries, Evelyn getting evaluated for braces, the chiropractor finishing up Ada's and my treatment from the car crash, Jer and I going on a lunch date to a scrap yard to see if we could find a replacement countertop for the cabinet to finish the bathroom, two kids with colds, two kids with the flu, and 5 days of play rehearsals. We're better for now, and we're going to babysit Peter and Rosie tonight.
Everything is starting to look better for Evelyn. Her teeth are crowded, but she might grow out of that.  Her wisdom teeth are really weird angles right now.  We'll see again in 10 years...

Ada had a biology project to make.  So of course she makes it into an art project.  I love it.  She's going to paint it, but it's the house from Up. I took a picture before she really finished.... I was just tired and wanted to go to bed.  I helped her make the balloons while she made the house.  Jer helped her make a solid base so it would hold the balloons. The project is about cells and organelles.  She wrote a comparison paper about Up and how the cells work. I'll post a picture when it's all done.  She was going to make a cake and share it with her class, but she's got a cold so we didn't think she should cook for anyone else.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
