Easter weekend

Annual family Easter Picture.  I can't believe how grown up my family is getting.

Saturday we had our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt, which was nice.  It was good to get time to meet and chat with new neighbors and catch up with old ones.  We skipped Ada's soccer game to be able to stay for it....  But we did make it to Seth and Sam's games right before our Wilcox family Easter party.

Friday

Friday we went to our first ever escape room.  It was fun.  It was a King Arthur room.  We had to find 6 swords to unlock the golden egg to win.  It was two rooms and we had 3 people in each room.  We had one hour to solve about 25 puzzles.  We did it with about 3 minutes left.  We did need help for two of the puzzles from the game master.  One of them we got right but the mechanism wasn't working and he had to bypass it.

After the escape room, we went swimming with Beth, Jack and Rose.  We followed that up with some pizza from Brick Oven. (and video games at home)

Yummy

Brad said that we needed to try this Italian place called sipori.  He was right.  It was so good. We had pasta and savory crepes. The kids tried European style hot chocolate and then we ordered pastries to go.  The kids were talking about loving it so much and the owner said that he would hire Ada if she were 14.  She about blew a gasket and was even trying to figure out how to ride the frontrunner train.  I told her maybe later, but right now that would be a ton of travel time for a first time job.

Baby Animal Days

I had put it in the back of my head that the Logan baby animal days would be fun to do, but that we didn't have time.  Sharon gave us the time to do it and it was really fun.  The kids LOVED all the baby animals that they got to see and hold. They had baby calves, a colt, piglets, ducks, chicks, kits (bunnies), bears, goats, lambs, bison, turtles etc.....

The baby turtles were fast.  You had to use two hands because they took off as soon as they contacted your hand or the table.

The baby bears were my absolutely favorite things. They were like those videos of the koalas rolling around and wrestling each other. They were only 3 months old.

Ada figured out how to unfocus the camera to take some fun shots.

Seth was SO excited to ride the train.  He even skipped going into the petting zoo area to stand in line to ride it.

My favorite shot that Ada got of the animals in the petting zoo.

Evelyn and a pony.

My cute family

"How to pick up chicks".  Sam is practicing what he preaches.

Ada liked the ducks better than the chicks. Seth wanted to pet them all but definitely didn't want to pick them all up.

Spring Break

Wed night, we had dinner with Sharon and McKay's families in Providence. They had a blast playing games, jumping and eating.  You can tell that electronics are a big part of this next generation because at least 5 of the kids from 3 different families tried hinting that it was time to stop playing and they needed to watch a movie or play a video game.  It's a new time that's for sure. I for one love to see all these people and be with them.  Then we spent the night at Sharon's house before going to the baby animal days in the morning.

Spring break

After skydiving and flow riding we went rock climbing.  I forgot how fun it is.  I really can't do it anymore, but I loved watching from the sidelines and reliving my 20s. Both Lance and Rae joined in with us on this one.

Ada, Seth and Sam

Evelyn

Jer

My favorite picture of all. They had some of the routes set up with equipment that would belay you on it's own, but Seth kept choosing the ones that you had to have a person.  Ada was the sweetest and would belay him a lot of the times.  Seth would get up a wall about a third of the way, then he would let go and just swing because he liked how it felt to swing.  Ada was very good at not letting him fall.

Evelyn, Seth, Ada, the instructor and Jer.

Evelyn, Seth, Jer and Sam.... Ada's arms were dead by this time and didn't want to go up the boulder.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
