Halloween

\
Hannah, Ada
Evelyn, Seth, Sam and Ian
Halloween was fairly easy.... we went out early so that there weren't tons of people out and then came home to hand out candy.  My Mom and Janelle came to go with us.  It was fun to hang out.  Ada and Sam are old enough to pay for their own costumes.... so Ada wanted to go as a plague doctor and Sam already had everything to be a Gryffindor so that's what he went with.  He also wanted to crochet his own scarf, so I taught him.  He got three squares into it and we needed to frog it because he was missing stitches at the end of the row.  We were running out of time, so I did the scarf except the last two squares at the end. It was fun to work with him.  Evelyn is dressed up as Sans from Undertale.  It was very easy to put together.  I had Kohl's cash that bought her shorts, slippers, and jacket.  She already had a white shirt, so I really only bought her the skeleton socks on Amazon.  Seth wanted to be Thor.  He's a cute Thor too.

Clary family!

I'm so happy that the Clary family came in for a surprise visit.  We haven't seen them in about 2 almost 3 years.  The kids are all really growing and it's fun to reconnect.  I really like the Clary's.  I never feel like there are demands on me.  It's just relaxing and fun. You can tell the girls are teens.  It took them a minute to adjust to not being shy with each other.  And Sam and Rocky just dove in.  They found that they have a lot in common.  Taylor was cute and chatty about everything and Owen has grown to much since we last saw them.  It's fun to see his cute personality.

We also got to have dinner with Emma and Steven on Ada's birthday.  It was fun, but Peter was not having it.  Then he came down with RSV, so that's probably why.  He was probably just not feeling quite himself.

Ada's game.

Evelyn's spirit day class members.

Pictures I forgot

This is my Grandparents house from Hurricane.  It's for sale again and it has changed a bit.  The things I noticed right away was how big the trees are now and the fence around the back of the house.

These are at the sand dunes.  This was always my favorite part of visiting my grandparents.

We drove by the St George temple as well.  They've taken out the windows and doors and taken down the addition from the back.

Goblin Valley

Monday we spent at Goblin Valley.  We played laser tag and explored the first valley.  It was fun.  It was a little windy to start, which is the first time for us.... but we stuck it out and ended up with a very beautiful afternoon.  We left and within minutes after we left and it started raining.

Sunday

Sunday was our driving day.  We listened to the Goose Girl series while we drove through Zion's National Park, Escalante Park and past Canyonlands. It was gorgeous and went from the 70s to the 40s in a matter of hours.  For lunch we pulled over to a park and heated up water on our camp stove and made ramen noodles and back packing meals. It was fun.  We also took a side trip to Grafton.  Jeremy's family has a ancestry connection to the school/church house and the two farm houses next to it.  It's fun to explore a ghost town, and talk about genealogy as well.

This house is the one that Jer's ancestors lived in.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
