Anniversary

On Saturday was Jer's and my anniversary.  I was feeling a little stressed out, so we did a family dinner at a hibachi grill and a hike up the Y with Becca.  Jer and I will have a date together later after things have calmed down a bit.  The kids loved the grill, and we all made it up the Y.  Evelyn wasn't too happy about having to hike.  I got her up a couple of switchbacks with Jeremy's help... and then Miss Tennant and her friend came up the trail.  All of the sudden Jer was following fast Evelyn and I was counting switchbacks with Seth.  He is really getting the idea of what numbers really mean.  He doesn't just count.  The other day, he said that there were 3 sausages... one for Dad, one for me and one for him.

Provo Rec Center

As part of the Robertson Family Reunion, Amy asked if we could go to the Provo Rec Center.  It was so fun.  I've never been before and it was a blast.  The Brashers have gotten here by now and we're doing nights of watching home videos and playing games with cousins.

I was busy at this point, but here's most of everyone that was there.  Fun people.

Sam Day Camp

While Jeremy and I are excited to see the change in the scout/YM program, Sam was less excited about the news.  He loves the scouting activities and friends.  I think that he'll soon discover that he'll enjoy whatever it is that the church puts in place.  Until then, Day Camp is a hit.

After the Morrise family left, the Tarkington family came.  Ada, Evelyn and Maisy play well together.  Sam, Eli and Joe play well together.  It makes me happy.  Joe showed Jer and I his two new Lord of the Rings games.  They were awesome.

We also went to check out our new neighborhood playground.  It's a fun one.

This is Quinn, my summer friend.

We even got out our kites for a windy day.

McKay and Sophie

We went up to Roy to help my brother's family move.  They are a few weeks away from closing on the house they want, but they had to get out of their home.  Jer had taken our girls on a daddy daughter date the night before.  They went to a trampoline park and Jer hyperextended his knee... which put his back out.  Jer couldn't lift anything, and we'd gotten there late anyways, so Jer watched lots of kids while I tried to help with last odds and ends, dinner, and chatted with my brother and his wife.  I'm glad that they're staying in Utah.  They were originally going to move to Idaho, but they're just moving to Brigham City so we'll still get to see them more often than otherwise.  After finishing, we went with the cousins to a friends house for a birthday celebration and then tried to get in at the drive in movie theater for the Incredibles 2.  We missed getting in by just a couple of cars, but we'll try another time.

After Father's Day, we played with cousins some more.  We also got a chance to go to the splash pad with our neighbors.  Everyone was a bit rushed for the day, but we took a 2 hour block and played.  Sam was throwing his shoe up on top of the waterfall and letting it come down again.... it eventually got stuck at the top and it never came back.  Well, luckily they were $5 sandals from Walmart that he's used for 3 years.

Busy June

Our June is always extremely busy.  I wanted to document it, but my computer has been disconnected from the internet for a bit and my phone just doesn't blog well.  I'm probably forgetting a few of the things that I need to be writing, but here are some highlights.  First was our week after Yosemite.  We recovered, washed laundry, put away stuff and tried to clean the house.  The week after that we hung out with our Morisse cousins and our Hansen ones.  We did some hiking and went to eat at Chuck o Rama and a hot dog roast.

Good morning

Seth is officially out of diapers at night. He's done very well. He could have done it before our  Yosemite trip but I didn't want to have any accidents while we are camping

Seth and Ada

Ada was helping Seth buy a snow cone from our neighbor's sidewalk sale.  She asked if he wanted red, green or pink.... he enthusiastically said, "BLUE!"

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
