Colorado

Colorado Beauty

Colorado is very striking. The route that we took took us through very beautiful Canyon and we ran into this guy next to the road. It was kind of see him very close.

Wandering

I know that wandering is not a requirement for becoming like God. I do enjoy to wander and to experience things with my family. I'm grateful for the opportunities that I've had both as  a child and an adult to see new things and share things that I've seen with my children.

Scouts

You can turn on most anything into a scouting opportunity. We decided to use this opportunity to help Sam get a dinosaur merit badge. I'm not sure he'll be very excited about it until he actually gets the merit badge finished. But he was happy to run up and down the big hallway in front of all the dinosaur bones.

Happy kids

Evelyn

The smarty pants actually figured out how to use the digital displays correctly. Well Ada and Sam just wanted to touch it and play with it Evelyn used it to find the bones in the wall and match it to the bones in the pictures of the dinosaurs.

Green River

Dinosaurs

This kid loves his dinosaurs. Ever since we got the pass to the Thanksgiving Point museums he begs to see dinosaurs constantly. When he heard that we were going to see dinosaur bones he said," Bones bones bones bones bones bones bones bones!"

Petroglyphs

Ada has been working on a school project that includes the Nine Mile Canyon and the Fremont Indians. I didn't realize that they also extended all the way up into northern Utah. There are several pictographs and petroglyphs in the Dinosaur National Park. That was pretty cool to see.

Working Backwards

So over the weekend we went to my niece's wedding in Colorado. Lizzie got married to Dusty and I think they make a very good pair. I was impressed with their dedication to the gospel and to a temple marriage even though his family are not members. The absolute joy on their faces as they were sealed is not easy to forget. We drove out there on Thursday after work and stayed for the sealing on Friday. After the ceiling we drove to Laramie to spend the afternoon with our Basher cousins. Saturday morning we left come home by route as a Dinosaur National Park. Because I don't have access to my computer at the moment I'm just going to post a few pictures from my phone. When I get my ceiling painted and my computer back I will be posting pictures of the wedding that were on my camera. We got home just in time for Jer to get the kids bathed and me to practice the organ before the church was closed for the night. I have to say that the kids are pretty good travelers.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
