Thanksgiving Point pictures
Our neighbors and friends invited us to go to Thanksgiving Point with them. It turns out Paul was my Uncle's best friend growing up. Kind of fun.
Picture catch up
Evelyn and some buddies.
Love these guys together.
These guys hanging out and reading books.
We took advantage of the free Sonic cones coupons that these guys got from the reading program at the library.
Pictures from Jer's phone
This is Sam at the Daddy/Son campout. I hadn't seen it until I downloaded pictures from Jer's phone. I love how much Sam loves doing these things with his Dad.
This was a while ago. I think it was during Emma's wedding. The kids were following Mariah as the marching director. It was so cute.
I stole Jer's phone to take a picture of the temple.
Sam is such a good little pianist. He's very good at it.
Love this kid!
This is why I take pictures and write things down. My kids love reading about themselves. I will keep making these books, writing these stories and taking these pictures.
These pictures were from our hike to Battle Creek Falls.
Cute sad boy.
We broke down and bought a family pass to Thanksgiving Point. I will be spending a lot of time here with Seth during the next school year. He's my only one home for the first time since Sam was born.
These are from our hike to Timpanogos Cave. That was so fun. I remember doing that as a kid. I'm glad we got to the our kids. I want to take them again when Seth is bigger.
I really like this picture Jer took in the cave.
Our new swing set. The kids love it.
Daddy made us cinnamon rolls.
This last Saturday we went swimming with our Gilchrist cousins. That was so fun.
Everything you didn't want to ever know about lice
Yes, the dreaded head lice hit our house. Took a month of our summer away, but we survived. Here's what I didn't know that I needed to know.
-There are three types of lice... head lice is the one that I'd prefer between body lice, head lice and crab lice.
-It's best if you treat the entire family and house at the same time.
-On average, it takes 21 days, two treatments and almost daily nit combing to get rid of lice.
-The amount of head lice cases has increased to 12 million reported cases in the US this year.
-The amount of cases has increased with the use of hand held electronic devices (kids touching heads)
-I like the LiceFreee treatment as far as traditional over the counter treatments, but if we were going to do it all over again I would do the AirAlle treatment. The lady at the lice center in Utah was an excellent resource and said two things.... that you always have to treat twice and that this new treatment is the most effective non chemical treatment that's guaranteed to work faster than the regular 21 day cycle.
Because of the timing of the lice, we had to cancel our big family road trip that we'd been planning for more than a year. We were pretty sad about it, so we spent a lot of time doing other things. We hiked to Timpanogos cave, bought new legos and had lego days, bought a new swing set that the big kids can use, got movies from the library to watch, etc...
I'm going to be putting up pictures of stuff that we've been doing, but it will take some time. I've got a lot to catch up on.

Long haired cat
When we got her, she wasn't long haired. Within a few months she had thick pretty and hard to care for fur. For a couple years I would cut out the big knots as they developed. This year we just bit the bullet and shaved her. She has a little lion tail. The kid's think it is hilarious.

Growing up
Ada learned a new skill today. She learned that mowing is harder than it looks but that she can do a good job anyways.
Helping in Nellie's house
We actually got to help Nellie for a minute. We went to wish Grandpa a happy birthday and ended up getting nice and dusty. Seth loved being in there... I think they all enjoyed it except Evelyn. I'm excited to see how it comes out. Janelle has a beautiful sense of design.

Ham sandwich
My kids said they were making a ham sandwich. My mom always called this a puppy pile. She said we were like puppies piling on each other and chewing each others ears.
