Messiah Sing-In

Jer and I went on a date last night to the Messiah Sing-in down at Nu-Skin.  It was fun to sing with Jer.  Thanks Nellie for watching the kids!

Art

This girl is loving art. Her art teacher this year is a lady I graduated with from Art at BYU. Is fun to see her and I love how she's encouraging Ada to learn new things and progress.

Feeling better

This kid was sick for the longest time. I held him for almost 5 days straight. I think that smile says he's feeling better.

It's been a weird week. Usually I'm getting ready for Jer's chocolate party for the week before. This week I've been cuddling a baby, dealing with a broken dishwasher and as of yesterday a broken washing machine. Weird. Jer installed or new dishwasher, now we're trying to decide if we pay the $160 for Jer to fix the washer or just give in and pay $350 for a new one.

I walked into Sam's class Thursday and found this

I volunteer in Sam's class on Thursday's. Usually they aren't doing anything too exciting, but they were this week. Sam saw us and asked if Evelyn could join in too.

Latest fencing competition

We completed another one. This one was difficult. There were 5 very easy kids and two very difficult ones. It was so fun to have my cousin's son, Callen, in class. Sam won his third trophy, Callen and Ethan tied for second, and Evelyn place third. When I asked her if she was proud of getting third she said, "No, the metal isn't shiny." It is a dark metal color.

Weekend

This weekend was busy, busy, busy.  Sam and Ada had their piano recitals.  They were both very precise and didn't rush their songs.  It's fun to hear them play and I look forward to hearing them progress as they get older.  Evelyn has been playing too, but I'm teaching her at home.  She's caught on to the numbered notes and is working on recognizing notes on the staff.

Saturday evening was our Ward Christmas party.  It was nothing too elaborate, just dinner and a sing-a-long.  My parents came and brought McKay's kids.  It was fun to see all the kids sooooo excited to sing Christmas songs.  Ada and Aubrey especially wanted to sing every single one. 

Sunday, we hung out at my sister's house and let the kids play/watch movies.

Neighborhood

I love our neighbors. The Jacksons next door are like extra grandparents. They hosted a gingerbread house party. The kids had a blast and my brother was extremely kind to listen for our sleeping toddler at home so that I could come too.

After the sealing, we went to celebrate my niece, Emma, and my Mom's birthday by watching Moana.  It was fun and the kids love that it's Grandma's name.  Then everyone went to swim at the hotel and I took Seth back to our room because he had a fever. 

The next morning, we went to Vivien's baby blessing.  It's been a very neat weekend.
