Brigham Young Historic Park
We walked over to the park for cake and ice cream after.
On the way back to the tracks station we stopped over at temple square.
I think he was worn out.
These guys were pretending to sleep when they saw Dad and Seth.
Church History Museum
In Salt Lake, we went to the newly remodeled kids section of the Church History Museum.
Seth's birthday party
Seth is my train boy, so we decided to take him on the train.
At first it was something that he wasn't sure about at first, but then he loved it.
Look up that nose up against the glass!
They were all a little tired waiting for our tracks connection.

Perseid Meteor Shower
The Nasa website said that between the times of 11pm and 4:30am would be the prime time to watch the meteor shower last night. I was all up for it, but our kids neeeeeeeeeed sleep this week. So I bathed them, stuck them in bed and we woke them up at 2am to watch the shooting stars on the roof. We have a perfect roof for it. Not too high, slanted just slightly, and faced away from the street lamps in the front yard. I don't like getting on roofs. It always makes my heart jump a little, so I sat in the hammock while everyone was on the roof. Evelyn got itchy with staying in the same place, so she came to join me. We saw some good ones, but my favorite comment of the night was, "Mom, I wish the snails were out so I could poke them in the eye."

Evelynisms
Evelyn likes to call hangi kisses (maori nose kisses) noogies.
We went to the movie 'The BFG' with my side of the family. It was a cute movie, but afterwards Evelyn said, "I don't like the giants." I asked about the good giant. "No, I don't like any of the giants." And during the movie, there's a part where this light goes into each of the giants' mouths. She yelled out, "What are they eating?!" The best one was during the breakfast with the Queen scene. Evelyn says, "But they didn't say their prayers!" Everyone got a good giggle out of that.
