My big girl birthday girl. I made her a My Little Pony Rainbow Dash hat for her birthday. She loved it, but insisted that she keep it tied under her chin. (ps... right after I took this picture, she tipped over the table and was mad that she didn't get to finish tying the umbrella up.)

Sunday

On Sunday we got together with the Robertson's both to say hi to visiting cousins and to celebrate birthdays there.  It was Evelyn's birthday and she kept asking all day if it was still her birthday.  Even right before going to bed, "Mom, is it still my birthday?"  She wanted a rainbow cake, and Dad was good enough to mix the colors for her.

We had James and Em's family there as well as a newly arrived Amy and Jon family.

Saturday

Saturday, we had the Wilcox family over for lunch and cake for mine, Evelyn, Sam and Jordan's birthdays.  It was fun to hang out with everyone and visit. Evelyn was pleased as punch with everything. And Sam asked over and over again how much money he had to buy legos with.

Cousins to visit

My camera got switched to manual focus and I didn't notice for a bit. But, it was so fun to have Henry, Wesley, Graham and Ian over with Grandma and Grandpa to play games, legos and watch the old Treasure Island movie.  I love how sweet and peaceful these guys are.  I have never heard my kids fighting with them.  It's always happiness, sharing and kindness.

Sam Kindergarten graduation

This kid LOVES school. His first day out, he was in withdrawals. His teachers loved him too.  I loved his teachers this year because they were very communicative, helpful and could always tell me what Sam was working on.  Ada and Evelyn ended up sick with the flu, so Jer stayed home with the other kids and my mom and I went on a date to Sam's graduation party.  He told everyone that he wants to be a pilot. He also knew all of the words to all the songs that they sang and hopped up and down on one foot while he sang.  Cute Sammy boy.  By the end of the year he was reading at a 2.5 grade reading level and doing 1.5 grade math easily.  He must be Jer's son...
