Wow

I made my 6 year old cry this morning by telling her that we didn't have time to look for her gloves. She peed her bed last night so had to bathe this morning... Took forever to eat the few bites that she did... Whined about these shoes and those shoes...then cried that I didn't get her gloves before her carpool came. Honestly, it was all I could do to get her out the door dressed this morning.

Cute Grandma notes

I found this gem among my Grandma's binders.  What a special message.  I think we need more hand written notes today.

Dear Val,

Since the first time I met you, I have looked up to you as the best example I have ever had of a truly gracious and feminine woman.  I hope that some day I can be at least a little bit like you.  Thanks for being my friend.

Love, Pixie

Favorite tradition

Jer started this Christmas tradition... Read a Christmas story before bed all through Dec.

Festival of Trees

I enjoy going to this every year. This year, I let the kids do the bubble maker.... So cute. Thanks mom and Nella!

Allergic reation

I feel like a big brown bear... you know how they sidle up to trees and scratch up and down?  That's what I feel like right now.  Sunday I broke out in hives.  I have big, itchy, red splotches up my chest, neck arms and a little on my face and in my hair line.  All I want to do is grab a hold of a rough tree and scratch up and down.  I'm doing my best not to touch though.

They think that I'm having an allergic reaction to either the HCG shot that they gave me to make me ovulate or the Progesterone that I have to be taking for the next month.  I've done both of these before, but man.... ouch.  It's worth it one way or another though.... If I get pregnant, it's worth it.  If I don't, at least I know that we did all we could for now.

I'm on Benadryll, but it doesn't seem to be making a difference. Darn.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so fun this year!  We went to my parents house and just stayed all day because poor Judy wasn't feeling good and we wanted to give her some space to rest.  All the kids dumped a TON of salt on their food and most of it went uneaten.  Ada ate almost an entire bowl of cranberry sauce.  We danced and my Dad told stories about Martha, a lady from his mission to Germany.  We also tried to go to the new movie "Frozen".  We got there and all the tickets were sold out.  Ada was especially brave.  She tried to hard not to cry.  My mom took them back home with her and they watched "The Croods".  The rest of us went to Catching Fire (Which was amazing, but I felt bad for the kids). Friday we went early and got tickets to "Frozen".  When we told the kids Ada said, "Yay!  We're going to Freeze!" Sam said, "Yay!"

Saturday was such a busy day.  We had our third IUI done... now to wait.  Then we went to my friend's luncheon to celebrate their sealing to their new baby boy.  Afterwards, we went to Jer's parents to learn to make their homemade applesauce... there were something like 139 pints of it when we left and they were still canning.  What a busy and fun day.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
