McKay

We loved seeing McKay here for his R&R from Afghanistan.  We're sorry to see him leave again... but here are a few of the fun things we did together while he was here... And McKay, my favorite was playing Swashbuckled with you and Soph... that was awesome... and I totally kicked trash! (I usually do... I'm just that awesome.)  We got to do things like: This is the Place State Park, Thanksgiving Point Farms and Natural History Museum, Aubrey and Devin's 3rd Birthday, family dinners, game nights, picture viewings, and just plain hanging out.  I loved every minute of it!

Dog discipline

So our kids have taken to disciplining our dog.  It's actually really funny.  Sammy points at her and says very sternly,"No! No!"  And Ada calls her, "Stupid dog."  Even if she's just wandering around playing... that one came from... me.  Yeah I know.  I don't usually call the dog stupid.  She was eating the kids sandwiches after I had warned her not too as she was following the kids around.  Yeah... didn't think that one would stick.

We had fun!

We had fun spending the day with you guys!  Thanks Robertson's!  (And sorry my camera's freaking out...)  I played with photoshop a little bit too... Just curious how it would go with all the bright colors.  But it means that the pictures aren't consistent after I've edited them!

I bumped up the saturation on this one but that's it...

This one and the next one... I just emphasized the lighting in different places... I like the second one better because it focuses on the parents... and if I have some more time I'd like to play with this one some more.

She is a natural!  I bumped up the sat and gave it a lighting effect, but the pretty lighting is made by a cookie sheet and John.

I just noticed that I didn't do anything to this one yet... I'd like to because I think it's a nice one of Kate... but it does show how dull the red is and how flat the lighting is.

I love his bare feet!

I probably went too dark on this one... but I loved the cheeser smile!

A lot of the ones of Rachel were blurry because my camera battery is dying, but I loved what she was doing with her hands in this one...  It's very Rachelish...

Anya wouldn't smile for me or her mom... this is the closest we got!

Joey was sooo smiley and dang cute... so I had to include lots of him.

Just a little

So, here's a few things that have been going on so I don't get caught up again...

McKay's here for R&R and he was able to be here for the twins birthday!  YAY!  We'll take lots of pictures and post them to see how my handsome brother's doing...

I buckled kids into the car, and Sammy looks at me and says,"Grandma?" As clear as day!  I sure wanted to take him to see grandma after that... just cause he asked... but we were really out of milk.

We got to go to the Utah County fair... Fun!

And I promise I won't kill Ada... she's been pushing boundaries all over... but I hope starting Joy School next week will give her something new to think about.

Did I ever?

Did I ever tell you about the time that Jer made grilled cheese sandwiches in the waffle maker by mistake?  It was awesome!

Started again

So I started a new round of babysitting again.  I have to admit that I was a little nervous because I've been having issues with being patient with one 2 year old... but today it's been really fun actually.  And I've gotten more done because they've kept each other busy... I do have a bigger mess to clean up especially since Eliza likes to get into food and carry it all over... I've never really let my kids do that at my house... especially not crumbly or sticky things like crackers or fruit by the foot... and I have to remember that two 2 year olds are louder than one... but it's nice to know that Ada's learning to share and play nicely... and that she's playing instead of asking me for milk every other minute and to watch a movie.  It's going to be more restricted the next couple of months though... because I used to have an extra car seat... but Sammy's grown into that one.  So I've got Eliza on Mon and Weds for half a day and Amy's grandkids (3 and 1) half days on Wed, Thurs and Friday... we'll see if it works or if I'll need to ask them to find someone else...  last time I was able to do it and Mightyauthors... we'll see this time though... I didn't have two 1 year olds last time.  Wish me luck.

You know it's not working

You know time-out isn't working when...

You have to say, "No, we don't sing in time out."
You have to say, "No, we're not going to get cookies while we're in time out."
You have to say, "No, we don't get to play with Sammy in time out."
You have to interrupt time out with a swat on the bum and send her to her room so that she'll even register that she's in trouble.

Rhees Family

This is such a fun family.  They're sweet and playful.  It's fun to get to know them and try not to freeze in the cold rain!  It was...
