So I don't know if anybody read about when Ada and her friend Lizzy hijacked the graham cracker box... but we had those same friends over tonight to play games... so Ada and Lizzy were playing again. When we finished our game... we all looked over and saw that they had completely emptied four boxes of Capri Suns onto the floor and had detached all of the straws from the pouches... luckily they hadn't tried stepping on any of them or anything... but we just had to get a picture... it was too funny.

We're watching our neice Grace for a couple of hours, and she is so cute! I love the way that she and Ada smile at each other and laugh. I had Grace in the high chair, and she had some finger foods that she was munching... When she saw Ada, she held one out for her... Ada sure was trying to getting from her and was giggling the whole time. They finally both gave up and Grace literally gave a little shrug and kept eating.
I think Ada's turning girly on me... I went to get her dressed the other day and when I opened her closet she saw the dresses and said "Pretty!" So I picked one out and got her dressed in it... later when she saw herself in the mirror she giggled and said, "Pretty!"

Since I got pregnant, I've started talking to Ada about babies. I even tried to get her to pat my belly and say baby. She never did do it, but the other day, my sister was playing with her and asked her where the baby was and Ada patted her own stomach... it was the cutest thing ever!

So I think that on her birthday Ada thought that she was turning two instead of one. She has been grumpy and whinny for no apparent reason. She doesn't look like she has any new teeth coming in... and it's almost like she's decided to be grumpy on purpose. For example... we have 20 some odd cabinets in our house that are unlocked and that she is free to empty and play in to her hearts content... but what does she choose to do? Try to pull open the 2 that I keep locked for her safety and scream that she can't get them open. And where she has never been a picky eater... she is now very choosy in what she will eat and in what order she will eat them... "I know I like green beans... but I won't eat them until you give me peas first, then the beans are okay..." All my friends say that this stage passed for their kids within a week if they just ignored the tantrums and gave them time outs for the inappropriate behavior... I sure hope so because I miss my Ada.

We went to watch my cousin get sealed on Friday. The Sealer was talking about multiplying and replenishing the earth. Jer leaned over to me and whispered... I don't know about the multiplying, but we've done the division... there's one of her and two of us.
Ada has been at that point where she stands by herself for a long time, but she's been too afraid to walk. Today during conference we were watching it with my brother's family. She watched her cousin Aubrey walking around and by the end of the night she was taking 4 or 5 steps at a time! It was so fun to watch her face as she got so excited while she moved all on her own! Love it!
